Lol "only". Dude, 0-18-2 is the deep power setup and it also gives you access to 3 great coaches, Rabary, Gallo and Babb.

But the difference between having 91 serve/90 power is huge. Yes I try and use my serve to shorten the points and get a few aces, but it's not the kind of all conquering repetition of a 98/98, like when I play Supermassy.

He is the first player I've ever played against where I feel like I will never break him because I just can't get to grips with the accuracy and power, there seems to be no way out of it, so the matches become slightly tedious and have an air of inevitability, but it's effective so fair play to him.

With my serve and power as it is, especially against the good players, I always end up in lengthy rallies or being broken fairly often, so I feel this is a more 'social' and entertaining form of playing top spin, rather than setting up like a tennis machine to score the most ranking points.

True about Focus Service. Even when trailing in a tie break it will only come in handy for one or two points in a row.

In any case I would pick Gallo over Babb when you're 17+ into OBL because his skills and stats distribution are better (love the +14 on FH which compliments Inside Out Master very well).

I totally agree with banning 98/98, when you take aces and aces even if you know how to return a big serve but your player doesn't move it is just not fun. :( Moreover, maybe there are some guys like Isner or Karlovic, but it is really easier to score a 230 km/h serve in the game than in real life.

Yeah you're right :P But it's not the problem here. It's just impossible to return most of the serves from 98/98 (if the player knows how to serve), and I think it's quite unfair. 98/98 could be fair, but I think Top Spin 4 needs a patch to balance the ease of serves.

Here is my summary why >90/>90 is unbalanced:

- It is possible to hit the lines constantly if you know hot to serve with 98/98 setting.
- you can serve with 220>kmh on 1st and 2nd serve
- there is nearly no risk to hit the lines and serve with 220 kmh on the 2nd serve
- Stutter return bug
- stamina stats are way to high for power serve setting
- even if you hit the perfect return your opp. can still make the point easily
- the positioning to hit powerfull shots is not that important...especially if you play on sand.

Dont get me wrong i win 99% of all my matches against these guys but those kind of settings give them a huge advantage to make easy points and stay in the game WITHOUT skill in tennis rallys. All you need is to practice the serve to give your opponent hard times in matches.
Without power >90 and serve >90 most of these guys are one trick ponys and would have no chance without that unbalanced and powerfull setting.

I played against one of these guys last week and its was a close match due to his 98/98 setting. I beat him in the tie break and he asked me for rematch. I agreed but only with real tennis players. So we did the rematch and he losed 3/0 3/0 without any chance.

You dont need arguments to realise how unbalanced these powerfull settings are. Just go and play WT Mode. 95% of all guys plays with power >86 and most of them uses power ~95 settings.

well im new in this forum, ad i use 98/98, i ws nt playing top spin 4 in the last 4 months, and i found this forum, and i'm excitd.

Its true tht this is the hardest setup to counter (i lost 10/546 matches in wt), but i don't thnk this setup is overpwered, if u watch real live tennis u will know it. Isner srve its fster LIVE that on tv, and its like a bomb sriusly. In TS4, if u wnt to play like Isner, the only build possible is 98/98 babb.

I'm trying hard t be on frm to my frst match BNP Paribas masters. GO GO!

I've beaten a couple of people in WT who used that setup. I was able to find a way to break serve. They are very limited in speed. Then again, some of those with that setup aren't very good to begin with, or you can run into someone with that setup who is a good player.
Seems I can't cross that threshold just yet :(

98/98 wouldn't be that bad if half of those ***holes wouldn't be wide servers.

Yeah 98/98 isn't overrated but apparently vowels are.

And yes, I watch real life tennis and Isner and Karlovic can't win shit with their mega serves so I don't see your point.

Absolutely agree with corbon!! I don't know what real tennis do you watch. 98/98 setup is completly unreal and the most boring setup to play with. I can't understand how you could play 500 matches using this setup without die of boredom.

Boring? oh god. Tell me another setup near to Isner or Raonic. For u rallies are very fnny, bt not 4 me , i lve big aces, lifted serve, slice serve, T serve, outwide , to the line, 1/2 serve, to the body... Thats really funny because i love that style. Tennis is not jst about rallies men.

By the way, i ws in Isner-Federer match of Davis cup.

Is this real? did u see the ball? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcT5U3ntJKE

In this gme , u cn retrn pwer services, more than in real life, so i dont understand ur point, its just a game. And this 98/98 its Raonic, Isner, Karlovic, etc of Top Spin 4.
For me its boring to be behind the baseline hitting angle shots . But i assume thats part of the game. But wll, i sppose that in real life hitting angle shots all the time its normal. Because Nalbandian (the master of angles), can hit angle shots all time, and he's number 1 of the history of tennis.
