If you want to throw in one every few games, there is no issues with it. Doing it repetitively is cheesy.

There are plenty of other returns that can get a point started for you. You cannot expect to be on offensive of the return against a player whose only strength is Serve and whose game is built around it. It is normal to be on defensive most times. The key is to pick returns that will allow you to reach the second ball and counter.

Picking the cheese tactic is the easiest way out of situation. If you want to compete here, you gonna need to take the hard road.

I didnt say that i will play cheesy. You said that. The roll on lobs was ironic. I lost 6-4, 6-4 from Supermassy in little details in tournament today playing normally, but its annoying someone to exploit serve & power so much, having 30 aces just to win for 2-3 points...I personally considere it cheasy.

You didn't have to say. A few times that I did play you on WT you played cheesy. It seems the same for many others. Plus you just said you plan to play cheesy against 98/98 setup.

I really could not care less what you consider cheesy. You seem to brand cheesy anything you can't cope with.

Just make sure you follow the rules and if you have questions, do ask. Good luck on the tour.

And if you combine 98 serve power with glitch return when you dont have the serve, like supermassy did today vs me, its way cheasy dont you think? Very weird...

It really looks like your looking for loopholes or trying too find the edge of cheesyness so you can exploit it. Even considering throwing a few lob returns in is cheesy.

You do sound cheesy.

I am not trying to find anything. I only asked a question. Its weird that some players are protected from cheasyness though. There is a whole topic with a poll for the subject with 63% voted for ban, and you blame me after all...

INFO for ITST matches.

That 98/98 setup is not banned here yet, what is banned and cheesy in our book is returning using drop shots and lobs, if we have news anyone is playing that way a suspension will be in order

Can you lob during a rally from the baseline, or does it only apply during return of serve.

I played this setup yesterday in an ITST match and I didn't consider or feel the need to lob return. However, it's probably the only way to avoid getting one-two punched when they slice serve out wide.

This 98 serve and power style is getting ridiculous...

Without lob return you dont have a chance...

Top players are playing this style on xbox tour and they think they play good tennis. LOL...

Lets all play with 98 power and serve and be happy...

I think where the serve is concerned the only way it can be cheesy is if someone is tramline serving, which you get alot of on WT, people who try and shorten the points because they can't handle a rally.

I like having a big serve, I think my player's serve and power stats are low 90's, but how is that different from focusing on being a good volleyer, or having a massive forehand, we all have our strengths and weaknesses but if you have a genuinely good serve and are not tramline serving, then that is good tennis to some people and it is an art in itself to get right consistantly.

You don't have to get involved in 50 shot rallies every point, to win matches you often need to shorten them as much as possible without getting bogged down in a lengthy exchange. If you can return well you shouldn't need to use a lob return, powerful serves can be returned with winners if you know what you're doing. A lob return to me just says that someone can't handle the serve, not that the server is being cheesy.

Are you kidding? Between top players only the stats matter. If you have monster serve and power its almost impossible to break him. Thats what i say. So, lets all have power serve 98 and see who is better. I would like to test you if you want. I will play you one game with my normal player and one with 98 power and serve to see the difference. In top level its all about stats...
