Strategy against Serve and Volley player?

How many of you people saying S&V is overpowered have actually tried playing it? It is very hard to pull off, especially against a good baseliner. Against good players one bad volley means I lose

I agree. I'd consider myself as competent at it, and got manhandled as sampras by a nadal 4-6 1-6 1-6 yesterday. he just got a nack of returning my serve about 10 feet from the net right on the tramline every time, regardless of serve power, placement, spin or speed. It was scary. nadal also has reach swings expert which helps get to volleys strongly.
