I don't know. I could see the lob volley being abused:

Serve > drop volley > lob volley.... repeat 50 times.

I agree.

I was playing offline TS4 doubles with a friend, and I was just thinking outloud and said "Man I wish they had a lob volley in this game".

He said "...why?"

I honestly could not come up with a good answer

In TS2 it was absolutely ridiculous.

If memory serves me correctly you could hit risk lob volleys

I remember them looking so incredibly fake and cartoonish.

Heh, I'm sure it could get abused, but so can most shots.
You could use Y (triangle) for it, since Y is a duplicate of A (x).

The reason for it? Both guys at the net, having one of those stupid ping pong rallies, when whoever can't mash the controller fast enough loses.
As a S&Ver who often tries to drag my baseline opponents into the net, with short slices or drops, this would be a great way to pass them.

Not to mention doubles, there's very often at least 2 people at the net.

How do you chaps deal with accurate, down the line returns? I find it quite hard to volley them aggressively and often give the opponent a sitter so he can hit a lob/passing shot. Maybe I just need to improve my timing. Oh, and does holding down RB make your player adjust at the net or is it only for the forward movement into the net?

I'm AAC, but wondering how you guys are able to time volleys?

I can't seem to get them right. My timing on groundstokes is improving slowly, but with volleys, there's no change. 70% of mine are usually too soon, so I struggle to finish points off when I should.

Volley - 69
Reflexes - 71
+ Volley Shots Artist
I used to think I was indecisive... but now I'm not so sure.

hmmmm 69 volley+ artist should be verrry good, but the timing I use is when the ball passes the opponents service line, more or less depending on the speed of the ball.

Hey fellow S&V'ers!

I am starting the refind my interest in TS4 as of lately. I had some great S&V matches with my S&V matey VillaJ.

A few days ago i had a Rafter - Sampras match which ended in 6-4 3-6 12-10 to Villa playing with Sampras.
A couple of hours back i beat his Rafter with my own created S&V player. Tight match which ended 7-6(5).

I'd say feel free to add me on PSN for some S&V battles. Looking forward to continue develop myself as a competetive S&V'er which is hard,
