Just wondering...

Postby iBullet91 » Fri, 20 Jan 2012 23:59

Hi :D

I know these have probably been asked plenty of times before but I can't seem to find the answers.

What is the ITST rule regarding the slice serve?

How wide can the player stand when serving?

I recently played an ITST game where the player did a fair amount of slice serves and stood a good couple of shuffles from the centre line on some (not all) of his serves. Was just wondering if this is ok to do.

Cheers (and sorry if the answers to these are around somewhere!)

Slice serving is fine altgough I personally think overusing it wide is cheap and unnecassary. As long as you don't go out Tramline wide standing halfway between the T and Tramline is ok.

There's no rule against it. I would say to just avoid over doing it. Some guys will get mad even if you use one against them but honestly there's nothing against that at all. As far as your position I would say the only way you should move is toward the middle from the standard position.

Thanks guys.

Personally I always move to the centre line when serving and try to avoid the slice serve. I'd just noticed that some players don't do this but if they don't have to then that's ok.

I usually take one step toward the middle on the deuce court. Then throughout the match I'll adjust as needed. I'm not sure why I do it this way it's just something I got used to. Also on a side note - welcome to the ITST man! I've seen you on World Tour and you're one of the better guys I've faced on there.

Thanks! I'm glad I found ITST because it's so much better than World Tour.

And yeah thanks. But World Tour doesn't compare to ITST! On that I can convince myself I'm pretty good but on here it is soooo much harder.

On World Tour I have lost about 5 out of 85. Here, I have already lost about 4 out of 9.

That's for sure but World Tour is still a great way to practice your shots and observe the way others play.

There's a few other pretty good guys I've played. Some of them use MD but they'd probably be decent without. Josh Lang, DOA Warrior, Tris10 all play pretty good. I remember going against some guy HalfLife something or another with a "Casanova" player he was pretty decent too.

josh lang is very dificult to beat and taking the MD his is a flair play i think.

tris 10 use samala, and imo play a little cheesy, when i paly against him, he make drop shots in every point lol,

casanova use samala too, but is very good player!

you think would be good to call them to itst?

There's nothing wrong with bringing in new talent. You came from the World Tour and have been great as well as iBullet so why not more?
