Which tactics against each professional?

Postby Eyedol_666 » Thu, 09 Jun 2011 19:14

Is there a list or something where you can see which tactics should be used against a certain professional?

Background: Today I was winning nearly each game more or less easily versus all good pros (federer, agassi) etc. online.

Then Serena Williams came on grascourt and I think I did only win 6-7 points the whole game :?

Player description S.W.

Shot counter — Instant rocket — Diesel server

Nice, but which tactics I should have used? Played S&V with my Becker, maybe not the best idea!

THX!

Good idea for a thread, especially with the Pro Challenge tournament running. How do you combat Agassi's return, Murray's slices, Nadal's topspin? How do you break Sampras? Good questions I don't have the answer for, but maybe somebody else does.

Nadal's Topspin? Hit it deep to his backhand. And try not to give him that much angles, though try vary the length and angle of shots to his backhand. Mix flat and topspin here, sometimes slice if your feeling it. Then, mix it up to the forehand occasionally, keeping him from setting up his forehand as much as you can.

Federer- Use different spins, depth and pace to his BH, wait for error....if he SandVs, lob.occasionally go for a big power shot to his FH to keep him honest, but make sure your shots are well aimed enough for him to not run around and hit an i/o FH, cus then ur dead........

Serena is a VERY tough player in real life and in TS4... the key is to get her to moving around. Hit lots of angles and even throw in some slices and drop shots during rallies to make her run and lower her stamina a bit. Her return is AMAZING so slice serves outwide or down the line work. Her serve spots are really good but using a good top spin return will help you get back into the point pretty quickly.

Make sure you realize though, he is asking about what to do against a human opponent using these characters, not the computer...the strategies you mention are probably good to keep in mind in this case still, but it may require a little more depth :D

I think my stadegy will work better against a human than a CPUd, cuz the timing is obviously harder than a human..........

Thx!

I really have been confused after losing in that horrifying way against Serena and I discovered that my opponent was number 10 in the 2K Tour Europe with about 2.500 victories.

I am a little bit sedated (right word?) now, thats good!
