need help creating player

hi all
i really don't understand anything about this game yet
i don't understand how to play and how to create a player.
In ts3 i used Thompson in sim tourney and i would like to create a player like him.but it seems impssible to mix fast with decent power and volley.
it seems that u can have only two of this stats
anyone can help me?any suggestion?

How did you work this out? Is there some sort of formula where you can see what attributes your player will have when allocating in different sequences? if that makes sense lol
