Defensive Baseline is the weakest Style in my Opinion.

Even if you go totally to the extreme with a DFB and have 100 on Speed and Stamina you have a Disadvantage because of the lack of Power and Serve with 40 Points each what your Speed and your Stamina doesn't equalises.

You can try it if you put all Levels on DFB and choose the Coach Remi Ercolani (+50 Coach). I already did and I played by far not so successful as with my Powerguy.

I mean maybe I really have this Opinion because I am not made for this Style and suck at it. Maybe some of you Gyus are alot better with a DFB, but Time will show it.

My Opinion is only a Result of already made Experiences.

What do you Think? How are your Experiences with this Style until now?

You're not a defensive player so stop trying to be one. You have to be crafty and clever to play as one. Your style is 1-2 punch. Stick with what you know.

Just a heads up Sina, I took this message out of the Club Thread. Why? ...because you are not a member of this one, so to come in there and say "Defensive Baseline is the weakest Style " will create an argument and will fill that thread with tons of posts...so.... I moved it here.

But please, do discuss it here.

My opinion: It is certainly not the strongest style (easiest to play with) like I though before, but it a close second to offensive baseliner. I think you need to be more patient there - which makes sense. If you just try and hit thru the opponent like you would with the OB, you will be left feeling weak. But if you know the geometry of the court well and can position yourself well after shots, you can make that court seem twice as small to your opponent.

Played Puttu, who is phenomenal with defensive style! .... as times goes on, he is going to be a major pain in the ass and will make these offensive basleiners sweat blood out there. For sure.
Level 13 Edberg and counting...
