cant figure out the serve...tips?

hey guys im not really used to stick serving and i have the timing down but all my serves r landing in the middle of the box...how r u guys aiming it with the left stick...not sure if i quit aiming too early or if i dnot start aiming soon enough

You have to put a direction as soon as the character toss the ball and you have to maintain the position until you hit the ball more or less. Comparing to TS3 you have to input the direction longer in TS4.

I was lucky to be one of the first to play it on saturday and now i have to wait... well... maybe i can get it tonight if the game store got it.

i am loving the way that you build your character...it is going to be a great game...thats all i can garuntee so far...will be a much better game than top spin 3 at least

You need to pull the left stick in the direction quite early, about a second after the ball toss and hold it firm in that direction before hitting the ball. I had the same problem as you, and couldn't serve a single ace. Now i'm pretty much hitting high speed aces with Federer very often.

Isn't the max level 20? Sounds like you almost have the career mode completed already then....and I thought it was supposed to be quite long :oops:

Yeah I thought that too, hopefully I can create a good soderling and get through the career mode pretty quickly so I can begin my ATP creations

If i remember right u can choose how your carrer be like. U do it just before u start career and u have to stick to that option u choose the hole career.
3 Options.
If u want matches to be super tie breaks and some 3 games 3 set matches.
U want 3 set 3 game matches in the hole carrer.
Real tennis where u play 3 set 6 games in some tournaments and 5set 6 games in some others.
