"Cheese & Whine"

Postby BluudyEEfingaz » Fri, 10 Jan 2014 22:47

Given the recent disappointing, horrible, no good fact that 2k serves are consistently giving TS4 lovers trouble, the dwindling sign ups are even fewer than expected. It's completely disheartening to believe that as long as this game has been on shelves, we're still complaining about the servers. This consequently exposes an interesting and slightly altering truth. Because of the pre-patch, 50% of players will resort to "cheesy" play while the other 50% will flock to the forums to whine about match results that will possibly favor that of their cheese puff opponent. To avoid confrontation or any accusations I've mentioned prior, I'll simply be resigning from all tournaments until the servers are functioning properly. Thank you and goodnight!

It's easier than it looks.

Server sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, these days.
The fact is this. I have a match, I schedule it with my opponent.
If the server works, we play, no problem.
If the server doesn't work, I ask my opponent "Want to play anyway?"
He says no: ok, let's do it another day.
He says yes: ok, let's play.

But after that, no excuses. Patch, pre-patch, and stuff like this.
If you accept to play, we go on court, have our match, and report the score.
Then it's over.
Clear and simple.

Not agree with you ICE, we have to play matches, server down or not or the tour will die.
Remember this is a game, why we have not to play to enjoy ourself?

Ok, but this is not what I was saying.

I was just talking about a single match to play.
Since I don't care about patch and pre-patch, I simply ask the question to my opponent: "Hey mate, the server is not working good. Do you want to play anyway?"
If he says yes, and we play, I accept no complaint after the match (I mean, no complaint about patch, I'm not talking about cheesy shots and stuff like that).
I mean, if you accept to play knowing that the server is having problem, you cannot come to me later and say "But the patch wasn't working, that game was unreal, bla bla bla".
It sounds a little bit incoherent to me.

And I do this just because it's only a game. We play, and then see you next time.
I'm very "relaxed" about this.

But yes, you're right too, we need to play matches. But the server problems don't depend on us, what could we possibly do to fix it?

Just remember no button serves...specifically B or X button serves or the game will freeze.

the biggest problem imo is that the server might work with one, while the other can't connect. Any bad willing or not knowing can take advantage from this situation by not telling he can't connect and play pre patched.
