Hall of Fame

Postby Gotenkssan » Sat, 18 May 2013 07:13

I was clicking through the Hall of Fame section and thought that the time has come to insert some new names....

First of all to deserve that honor surely is ShOcase. He dominated the Xbox and PS3 MS and MSS tour in an impressive and consistent way. I guess there is no doubt about his awesome ITST history so far.

Second in the list is Fifa Tee. He was always standing in the big shadow of ShO, and for me there is no doubt, that he had earned most of ShO's titles if he wouldn't exist.....

Other great players for the list (I speak for the Xbox tour):

- Bkristian (The dominating Xbox WS player)
- OuiMrBerson (Fantastic winning streak and dominating man at the beginning of the TS 4 Xbox tour.

Greetings Gotenkssan :D

Norberto had an undefeated topspin 3 year and he's not even in there yet. He would surely have to be inducted first, his record is unbreakable.

The problem with you saying his itst record, is that it is only his topspin 4 itst record. And since topspin 4 is the least realistic of all itst games it hold the least weight. To me he needs to show what he can do on another tennis game to show his success is based on tennis and not topspin 4. Just my opinion.

He reached everything possible and lost his motivation.

@ Brushed:
I agree. I forgot Norberto. But i never played the TS 3 Tour (obwohl er auch granatenartig auf der TS4 Tour war ;-)). One big argument more to update the HoF section.

I don't think that Sh0 has to prove it on another game. About 2 years TS 4 domination is more than enough in my opinion. But if it's a criterion, than i have to pull back my suggestions.

When he stoped playing ts4 it was that time when more and more ppl start to discuss about the ts4 "start menu" glitch?

He "survived" that discussion and played on though people accused and insulted him. His retire was after that.

Well you forgot Holla Itz Mike, who had the biggest serie of victories in a row on the history of ITST, with 40 victories at the beginning of the TS4 tour. It's simple, he won, every tournaments on clay the first year, and only lost the final of RG vs Berson. Berson in comparaison achieved 21 victories in a row, Sh0case 30 victories, Norberto 38 on TS3.

Sh0case & Fifa Tee didn't deserve anything in my opinion : they found some artificial tricks to dominate people that didn't know these tricks. They foole everybody : before the last update, when the game was far more tactical, they were nothing, and weren't able to pass any first rounds of the big tournaments in 2011. Watch the US Open draw, and all the previous tournament. The update was released in the end of US Open and that was exactly when this joke started and when all top players left.

As soon as this stupid update was released, they began to destroy everyone because it was no more a tennis game, but a Dance Dance Revolution game version Tennis.

First, wasn't berson banned, don't think anyone banned will be in the hall of fame.

Second, I'm going to use my telepathy to guess what setup Holla itz mike used...would it be the 85 backhand/forehand, with topspin invasion and monster defense with around 75 power.

Even 2k realized this setup was far and away the best setup and spread out the stats themselves. Later itst banned monster defense because it helps you play the game. I would look at mike's record once the game had been out for a while at least. Also I'd like to see what his record was after monster defense got banned if he played that long.

Norberto went on his run at the end of the topspin 3 run. So the people he beat weren't learning the game. No special coach could help you, and all the sim setups took a lot of skill to use. And Norberto didn't have any tricks to let him get a bunch of 6-0 sets.
