Never seen a game ruined so much by rule changes

Postby MOTIVATED BEEF » Wed, 06 Feb 2013 20:16

First off, i came back to this game hoping to have fun with it again and i can see that that is not going to happen.

Today i played The Swiss Meastro in my first match back and was absolutely destroyed...I have been beaten badly before but never have i been so frustrated. Swiss played aboslutely fair and was just the better player... but this game is now garbage.

The stupid rule changes that were made to disallow setups that people used at the beginning of the game have in turn made the game even worse. The whole game is based off control shots now.

Djarvik does a lot of work and im sure its appreciated but i think there becomes a point where you are changing the rules too much to where its ridiculuos.

If you wanted to have a sim tour, have a sim tour with these rules. But the game should be played the way it was meant to, not just to Sim Djarvik's preferences.

Just a rant.

I don't understand. What have control shots to do with the rules??? If there is a problem with to much control shots then because of 2k Czech and not because of Djarvik's rules. Its not forbidden to use a powerfull player.
Another question... u really think u can came back after one or two years, i don't know, and beat one of the good itst guys?

lol i never used a 98 power player...

I used pej jing quah with 82 fh bh and 79 power and 76 speed...a balanced baseliner...which is almost impossible to accomplish now

Pej Jing Quah isn't a balanced baseliner.

82 82 wings
79 pow
76 speed
MD-TI
This is a monster not a balanced baseliner
I think simply you was not so lucky in your first match because the real rank of The Swiss Maestro is top 10 in my opinion

I think more power should be allowed. I agree with Beef above.

Looking back you stopped playing right around the time patch 3 was introduced. It's not the itst rules that you haven't adjusted to, it's that patch, which made it where control shots rule. We are all stuck with it.

:c

@ Beef (Mike)

I guess he s right. In May/June 2011 you and some french dude were the best two players using Pei Jing Quah. But the game has changed two or three times since because of patches.

Even if u would use Pei today it wouldn t change much. The control shots rule this game since Nov 2011, we can t change it.

Remember the great guys from TS3, Anteros, Norberto, Picachu, Baghdad, they all left the ship. The reason s why should be obvious.

Norberto was Nr. 1 in TS 1, 2 and 3. Why do you think he couldn t make it in TS 4?

Because the opponents are better? Bullshit! It s just because this game changed to a new one. It s almost like TS4 is a game of it s own and don t belong to the TS series anymore.

The game doesn't reward power shots anymore since US Open 2011. That's life, if you want to suceed in this boring game, you need to play as the newbies Fifa Tee & Sh0case did : control shots only, as on Dance Dance Revolution.

If you want a real tennis game, where you prepare your shot and you release the button, play Tennis Elbow. Check the video on my signature.

I'm no tennis elbow expert but I think you keep the button held c4ill...and that's for every shot.

And are my eyes playing tricks on me or did u sign up for a ts 4 tournement? :|

Yeah that's right I sign up to a tournament because I'm shocked to see a final played between Swifty and BigBrushNewbie.
Even if I haven't played for one year (and I will play this tournament without any practice sets before) it's time for you to take a SV lesson 8)

Hmmm...smart cover c4ill, your not gonna practice so when you lose you can say'"it's because I didn't practice."

And you've been off the ts4 tour for 6 months, not a year. Why would you need to exaggerate?   ...
