Gameplay bug which causes ineffective shots? :S

I just played a 5-set match with Marco-Theo against his Peto Chesire, I played with Bickham. He won 2-6, 5-7, 3-6.

The entire match, something felt wrong. My shots just weren't as effective as usual. None of my control shots were as good as they've been this whole week and my volleys weren't as effective as usual either (despite having volley shot artist and 68 in stat). However, the most ineffective of any shots was my topspins. I just wasn't able to hit any angles at all with topspins. Control top spins, power top spins. No angles. When I tried to attack a short ball from him with a top spin. Looking for the "perfect" top spin angle, I just couldn't do it. Even with perfect timing, my top spins were high over the net and landed around the top corner of the service box(instead of on the line and really close to the net which is easy to do if you get a short ball and have good prep time). I just don't get why these "put-away" topspins just wasn't at all effective.

I played ELTXETXU yesterday with this same Bickham setup against Rabari and won in straight sets. (Don't remember the accurate results). Think I won the first set either in a tie-break or 7-5.
In this match and any other match this week, I could easily (compared to todays match) find those perfect short control top spin angles, short control flats and perfect short power topspin angles.

If it's Chesires poisoned slices which causes these useless crap angles or if it's some other bug that causes this I don't know. I have won against Marco before and not being able to take a single set in this match is just strange and really bugs me. No offense Marco. You played very well, but the entire match, I felt like none of my shots were as effective as they normally are. Especially top spins and short control crosses were utterly useless.

Please, I'm not trying to take away Marcos win. I just think it's strange that I couldn't play my usual tactics and plays because of shots being less effective than they normally are. Which makes me wonder if people have experienced anything similar or if it's just me having a bad day.

I understand your problem very well. But perhaps Marco Theo raised up his level since your last match.... At least its a possibility. Don't lose the respect from your opponent....

I respect him a lot and think he is one of the nicest around here. He played very well and has raised his level for sure. Still, I just think it was strange that I couldn't put-away any short balls I pushed him to make.. Shots I normally have full confidence in making.. Shots I can make 9/10 times, with the 10th time being bad timing or something else which is easily explainable. In this match, even my most perfectly timed shots, just looked like plain normal ones with good timing..

It's the connection between you two.. This happens with me as well when I play guys from France when my shots are not effective.. The timings in those matches are different from normal.. You have to change you timings accordingly. You should release the button a bit early than usual in these kind of matches to make your shots effective.. Like when in normal matches you release the button when ball touches the ground or when the ball starts to approach you just after the bounce to get perfect timings of control shots and power shots. But in these kinds of matches you have to release the button a bit early only like milliseconds earlier than normal and you ll see that you ll be able to get control shots and power shots winners. It's basically due to the connection between two of you that slows the game down..It's very annoying as well but you have to learn to change your timings in these matches. Guess what you have to change your serve timings as well to release the analogue earlier a bit.. This is has happened to me 2-3 times when I played two of the guys from france

I played like I play always. I really like Peto, gives me a real feeling compared to tennis with his Top Spin Invasion. I think Ary, you can testify, that we play long rallies, without many short cross hits. Also I don't abused many slice hits. A FAIR match!

Hmm, true is, that I had the most of the time a perfect timing, without powershots. I have just 68 power. I did not notify something strange in the connection. Ali, when we play matches, then many times we felt these strange times delays.

And Ary, this is true, you defeated me once, but do you remember? It was a sim match, I played with Nakamura, you with Fortis. Lost 2:6 2:6. 6 monts ago. Now watch my Sim record....

Adri_Stinker told me something very important too, he said, you have to understand the next hit from your opponent. Like to be in his position and realize, how you would hit in his position. But this must happen very quick. So I try to read better the game of my opponent. Sometimes I am able, but also sometime without good result.

I was able to beat for the first time Liviolini 6:4 in a friendly, but maybe he had a very bad day at that match... Also was able to beat the first time in a 6 games match Ali, also 6:4. Also there, Ali, you had for sure a bad day too. Or maybe I was able to improve a little bit my style.
Dennie also told me this. And I hope sometime to cause more trouble against him.

Ary, I really hope, you don't think I cheated or something like that, first I have no idea how to do, but more important, I would never do it, cause I am really a sporty men. Many ones can attest that, I hope.

Had a sweet pro match with Ary a few nights ago but still not yet been able 2 beat Ali yet. Think I beat dennie in a set but 1 in 20 sucks . Same with Fifa. Won a set but got pownef in rematch. Yeah Marco you have 2 think what would you do in you do in your opponents position. Hope I get Marco at RG then Ary then Ali then Dennie and Fifa so I can be crowned El Championes

I just think that all my shots felt different than in all my previous matches this week. Played many good players from ITST. It might have just been me though.

I think we had a regular tour practice match 2 months ago, but it's hard to remember

Remember, Marco, this thread is not at all against you. It's just about this feeling I got with my shots in our match. Didn't feel the same as my other matches this week and it made me very frustrated as I wasn't able to play good approaches or "put-away" winners.

Like I said it's just the connection between two which slows the game down. Marco is fair that is for sure. And such matches are not even laggy but rather are very smooth but still they makes your shots less effective. Just adjust your timings a bit early in such matches.. And when Marco defeated me that was because he was better that day. In my match against Marco there was no such thing as ary told.. This happens to me only against 1-2 French guys that the game slows down but these matches are still without any lag. Different opponents sometimes= different conditions
