TS4 VS TS3

Postby Tamthewasp » Wed, 18 Apr 2012 02:40

I'm tiired of hearing ppl saying TS3 or TS4 is better.
So I made a poll
Al just because it's better is not a reason.

I mistakenly voted for 4, somebody needs to change that.

Ts3 is better after you learn the ins and outs of both games.

I prefer the shot making in 3, but I prefer the movement and fluidity of 4.

I voted for TS3, if that is what you want to hear. :P

But really, I enjoy aspects of both. I played TS3 for much more, and that is because I found there to be much more variety in the matches I played. Kept it interesting, more so than TS4.

TS3 hands down

Top Spin 3 had so much more depth to it.It wasn't a perfect game-far from it- but it got the basics and the mechanics right.I think the word for it was promising.Promising in the way that,if PAM had developed TS4,it would have been a masterpiece. That's the feeling I got from it anyway.

Top Spin 4 is way more arcady in order to satisfy everyone, but it absolutely fails as a tennis simulator.Last matches I played were only ridiculous wide angles with control shots.I've had enough of that and now I wonder what took me so long to stop playing in the TS4 tour.

Both games have their own attractions. I like the ability of unforced errors due to risk system in ts3 but at the same time I think risk system shortens the rallies. It was very difficult to volley in ts3. Ts3 in my opinion was a simple game. You just needed to learn risk shots. In ts4 different coaches n setups makes it complicated

Ts4 volley is nice and the movement of the player is good as well only when it comes to powershots. Control shots are unrealistic and they somehow destroy the movement of the player. Cross court Angles are unrealistic and control shots themselves being more powerful than power shots is unrealistic itself. If bad timing was the key to unforced errors in ts4( like if you time "very soon" then the ball goes to the net. And if you time "too late" then ball goes out of the court) then this game would have been much better. I was the same level player on ts3 as I m on ts4 but still I voted ts4

Well, you posted this in TS4 section and after most TS3 players are inactive....

....even then, you will be surprised by results.

hahaha! Nonsense.

Judging by your record in TS3, you really don't know how to play and was overwhelmed by a better players.

Ugadalou is spot on. TS4 was far from disaster, but it was a let down and a major one from TS3. TS3 was broken as hell as well, but it was on the right track and had depth, options, tons of them.

the serve mechanics were tough to master in ts3 i actually i liked volleying ts3 it just wasnt viable as style risk shots plus 100 power crushed net players strokes and movement in ts4 is more fluid. they should bring back the trigger shots where on the serve you ccould go with power RT or placement LT and same for volleys and strokes. the controls weren't the problem just the serve, movement and stroke mechanics but they still needed to be improved from ts4 to ts5 . the coaches have brought some variety even if it is small .
