PS3 freezes due to button-serve

Hi,

in some online-friendly-matches (not in world tour) I've got the problem that my PS3 immediatly freezes when I do a button-serve with "O" (top spin) or "Square" (slice). Stick-serves and button-flat-serve are always going fine.

This problem doesn't occur in every match, only versus certain opponents.
I can play some of my psn-friends completely without problems, whereas versus some friends I've always the mentionned problem.


Does anyone have the same problem or even better, a solution to this issue?

I remember there was topics about it before and a few other members confirmed that it happened to them too.

Yeah m8. This only happens in online exhebitions. I believe it to be some glitch. Probably caused by the connection of both ps3s, I dont know why this happens. My only solution is use the stick 2 spin serve.

Yeah, when you serve using the buttons the ps3 freezes. It happened to me too in a match against Zooloo and he told me that this could break the ps3 and that i should serve using the stiks.

Sometimes, i was used to do the 2nd serve using the buttons, and sometimes my ps3 freezes. But since he told me that i have been serving with the stiks and i haven't had any problem again. i really don't know if that is bad for the ps3. But i'm sure that it isn't good...

I hate it when that happens. It definitely is related to connection and who invites.

In one match I send the invite and every time we got the first game of my opponent serving it happened - freeze! Then the opponent reset the router and it worked.

Against another opponent the same happened, but he didn't reset the router, it was just him who sent the invite and it worked without any problems.

How to avoid this? No button serves! However, if an opponent knows that a button serve might cause a freeze he could use that as a strategic mean to disrupt rhythm and momentum, maybe just to start again at full stamina.

In that case I would require my opponent to try figuring out first if it also happens with the other player sending the invite and let the player send the invite with whom that problem does not happen. If it happens with both players sending the invite, then just pray for sportsmanship.

Personaly, on Xbox, it happened every time, and I always reboot the Xbox... I've contacted 2K, but no answer.

So i'm searching for a solution, testing things to understand why the bug occurs but I don't find anything :/

Yeah it's been like this since TS4 first came out. I just never use button serves in ITST matches to make sure it doesn't freeze on me.
