TI/MD...

Postby SkengDaddyRich » Tue, 12 Apr 2011 18:20

So its pretty clear this seems to be a winning combination, TI/MD, with the heavy loaded f/h - b/h, high power and serve. These are the only players i have trouble with online. Does this seem to be the way forward and do alot of the ITST members use characters like this? its just the first ranked game i played on here i came up against one of these opponents and it didnt end well for me lol im just curious because i love my character but its proving a struggle against these particular types of players which more and more seem to be using now...

Just wondered how you guys felt

Thanks all

Rich

I think people have been complaining about this setup too much lately...personally, I don't think it's that overpowering that needs to be banned. I played against Ita with this setup and he was using something else, the dude totally destroyed me. what a punk!! (jk..lol) maybe i am not that good to compete with him. I think if you are good enough, you can pull off amazing shot with any setup. of course there are differences in the skills, but that's what bring variety to the game. anyway, that's just my opinion. looking forward to the sim tour!

Yeah it's a bit strong, but not invincible. It just forces you at an extreme advantage to always hit perfect shots with perfect depth and perfect placement. And even then they can hit random short, cross court winners. Just take it point for point and try to force longer rallies with mixed shot types.

I also tend not to look at the stats before a game so I don't get the fact that they're using TI/MD against me get in my head.

Rich, I think you can find this thread very interesting:

Character Balancing is an on going process. What is strong right now may not be next week.
