2K Open (the hardest Challenge besides the ITST)

Postby o Sinna o » Mon, 28 Mar 2011 10:51

I mean I don't know how many good Players you met in your Onlinegames but I noticed a really hard Challenge in over 50% of the 2K Open Matches.

I already knew TS4 would offer the hardest Challenge because of the simplified Controls and my Supposition was right.

At the end of a Match it's all about who hit the right Timings and the decisive Shots. Pretty tough if you ask me. *lol*

But that's what Tennis is all about.

I have my best Matches in the 2K Open besides the Exo-Matches with ITST Mates.

I kinda agree with you on this one Sinna (my slant is more around the fun factor point of veiw).

To be honest I have no time for the World Tour, i think I have played it liked 4 times because as you said I get all my fun and stiff competition from ITST exos. I don't feel I need to benchmark myself against world tour guys who are not ITST because sterotyping them = stacked, slicing all the time, standing way within the baseline etc - its just ain't my cup of tea  Of course there are some nice players one bumps into online from time to time and I usually send a XBL message saying "nice match, have you heard of ITST (google it)" or whatever...

However, that said, the 2k open is a nice addition if you want to pickup and play online if you are not in the mood to play ITST exos (that very rarely happens ) or low and behold there are like 19 friends online and they are all in the midst of exo matches or desperately remodelling a new player :)

I can't really comment about whether the 2k Open is more difficult than the World Tour because I don't really play it (WT) however that said it may have something to do with the majority of the Pro's being well balanced (with the exception of Nadal perhaps) and therefore you get a better reflection of your ability at the 2k Open?

If you possess a powerful stacked custom player and you can play the game to a decent enough level I reckon that when you come across players on the WT who have more balanced setups I guess you might be able to brush them aside with more ease?

Before Puttu and I created our customs we played Pro's quite a lot in exos, of particular fun was Agassi vs Murray as both have pretty similiar XP stats with high stamina, speed & relfexs so you can imagine the rallies went on for ages!

P.s. on the XBL messages to randoms I put the website link to Tuurbine and DexterMorgan IV who I met in the 2k open and since they have signed up! In particular DexterMorgan IV seems a very strong player and a good all round game...but he was using Roddick so we will see 8)
They call me Baggy...
