About fatigue bar

Postby Zeriurs » Wed, 23 Mar 2011 21:33

Now i see this more and more online.
When the player u play against got like 40% fatigue left he serve a foult. Just to get his fatigue bar more up.

Kinda lame. Think it should stay on 40% even if u make a serve foult.
It go like from 40% to like 80-90% and thats alot of fatigue u get back.

Could not find anything about this in the topic i look in so made one

And i know fore sure they go after the serve foult. They serve all the way out on the double line or close to it, just to be sure it go out so they can get some fatigue back.

Think 2k should do something against that.

Why? You can buy yourself a breath in real tennis by serving and clearing the ball off the court.

The problem isn't this tactic, it's that it's too easy to hit a good serve, so people are fine going for a big serve on their second serve.

On the other hand, you are right that not having the fatigue meter fill back up would eliminate this tactic.

Fatigue/stamina isn't really much of a factor in this game unfortunately. For long rally points it can come into play, but through the game there is no fatigue. On a third set it shouldn't be possible for a character with a 50 stamina to get a full bar back ever, even between sets.

If stamina were slower to refill and had a greater affect as the match goes on, it would add a lot more to the strategy possibilities.
