Team Tennis

Hey guys...i was just thinking today that a team tennis feature on this site would be very fun. I know that there is already davis cup, but that takes a while to get organized and you have to tryout for teams and everything...If there is any way that it could be organized to where we have team tennis tournaments that would be awesome.

The only difference from davis cup is that you would just pick a team of 3 players instead of just fidning a team all from the same country. You may want to play on a team with friends, or team up with 2 other superstars like the miami heat....We could have a team tennis tournament like once every 3 months. I think it would be extremely fun...

any thoughts?

Kinda hard to make a team for davis cup, when i'm the only one :lol:

Would be fun yes, although it would be crap if 3 of the top players teamed up, they would be nearly unbeatable...

Nice one for ressurecting this thread Oui MrBerson because I completely missed this one from Holla.

I think this is a cracking idea - like TomBS said perhaps a restriction on not letting 2 big guns play together.

The tournament could be open to the whole community and yes every quarter (3 months) seems practical. Perhaps you could have ranking bandings from which members can team up. (e.g.)

Ranking 1-15 must team up with a ranking 40+ etc

Hey Baghdad whats up..

I like this idea, I am the only guy from Ecuador here so Davis cup as exciting as it sounds would be tough for me for finding players....

Maybe there can be a way to make the teams "randomly"... I dont know... that way for example top players dont get to play together and we simple mortals stand a chance :wink:
