Roster is important?!?creer mode

Postby danbab2912 » Thu, 10 Feb 2011 14:04

Sorry for question like that but all i could read about the game or the greatest concerns about it is roster.

I played tennis on nintendo so im not up to date:) My biggest disapointment was small nuber of tournaments and small player base.

I personally love stats and huge entry list...lagre number of tournaments etc.

So i would like to know how many players are in career mode ??

Is it 100 plus the stars? r these others imaginary???

how many tournaments is there in the game?

Most of your questions cannot be answered yet as not much information about the career mode has been released. The 25 players announced will be the only real players in the game. For the rest it will most probably be filled up with lots of imaginary players for the career mode (but you wont be able to play them outside the career mode). Thats how it went for most Top Spin games so i am sure it wont be much different this time around.

No information has been released about the tournaments but i have heard that there are a lot of real courts in the game (major courts and smaller tournament courts).

The relative small number of real players is because of the licensing. In football for example there are centralized organisations that control the image rights. There are thus only a few parties to deal with. With tennis this is not the case. Every player has to be approached individually which is time consuming and expensive. I dont see this changing in the near by future.

As for stats. You'll have a good time if you participate in the ITST tour then. We make a lot of statistics available.

Well if u tell me about top spin 3 maybe i can conclude what to expect in top spin 4.

Well i m gonna play it only because of online gaming but as i understood u have to create ur own player and "boost" or train it to certain level. That is done by playing career. ?!?

Im good at sport games (NHL9,10,11..PES9,10,11...NBA2k10,11) so i believe ill do fine in tennis. :))

Must say i relly admire everyone behind ITST for enabling players to experience "pro tour" online

I read many of u know each other pretty well due to past matches.

To be honest, the career mode in TS3 was a lot different then in TS2. So i could tell you but i know for sure it will again be totally different. But the core will be the same. You can level up your character mainly in the career mode. This is done by assigning experience points to your skills (forehand, backhand, etc, etc). This is done by training with your coach (completing small tasks like hit 10 backhands) or by playing matches in game or in online matches. To create a fully trained character you will need a couple of days for sure.

But you will need this character anyways otherwise you will not be able to compete online. You need to create a character that fits your playing style. You'll find out what suits you best over time.
