Permanent Lobs against S&V at ITST

can't give my opinion because i haven't played the game for a long time, in those days lobs were not an issue though. I also remember that good S&V guys were unstoppable, the volleys were unreal, Spiderman couldn't reach some of the balls those guys reached!!!, in those days i would've banned S&V guys, probably lobs were one of the things you could try against them.
As i said i don't play the game anymore so my opinion is worthless

Mate, if you want to play SV come on Tennis Elbow, it's far more balanced and fun, trust me !

I am the next S&V Player who quits ITST, when there comes no Rule for play cheesy Lobs.
I play against Agassi in MSS. It´s impossible to win. Great Passing Shots. Great Returns. And when i come to the Net there cames a Lob. And i am near at the Net, so it´s over.
But i must come close to the Net, beacause the passing Shots are from hell if i stand far away.

When ITST will only have Baseliners. And will have 95% Rabary´s, Gallo´s... than it´s okay.
But why ITST don´t hear the problems from guys like C4ill and me? It´s so funny to have few Styles of Play. But it really seem´s that ITST hate S&V Players.....

I understand, and partially agree with you.

But I don't understand what are you asking exactly. Banning lobs? You know it's impossible, they're part of the game.
With that said, I admit that TS4 doesn't fit for S&V players.

Almost like modern real tennis, I would say.

How many Drop Shots ITST Players play? Is this not part of the game? Here is a Gentlemans agreement and nobody uses Drops. Why not the same with Lobs?
(imo Drop Shots are harder to play as Lobs, so the ITST-Rule is funny)

You're talking to an user who would allow every shot (except maybe for serving from tramlines...), so I cannot be impartial in my opinions.

But I agree about the difficult of dropshots compared to lobs.
But I also have to say that when you face a good user that plays S&V, lobs are often the only way to win a point on return (or during a rally).

Now, I read everywhere that ITST should make TS4 more realistic by its rules. For me is a nonsense, but apart of that, like I told you before, TS4 isn't fit for S&V playing.
Just like real tennis today. In that, at least, this videogame is very realistic

Thats the Point!

The Lob is the Shot to win against GOOD Players. But when these Shot beat the good S&V Players, what is than the way to win for S&V Guys?
When i play a Baseline-Setup (i am not good than), i can´t beat the TOP 10 here (all Baseliners). It´s impossible. When theres a Shot, to beat them, then it´s more than cheesy.
So, i think i am a good S&V Player. But then cames Lobs and the Lobs (!) beat me.
When you are not good enough to win against S&V Players with passing shots, than it´s your skill, who is not high enough.

When the 2-3 best S&V Players here are really strong, why is it impossible to come under the TOP 10?

Because they are so handicapped.(impossble to Break good guys; Stamina-Problem; Joke-Wings; no Power).
And Lobs makes unbelievable hard to win own Services.

I think the best S&V Players must have a Chance to win against good Baseliners. And that´s only possible whitout Lobs.

So, a compromise can be, that all Players under the TOP 15 don´t play Lobs. Because they are good enough to win so...

Well, I still can't defeat top 10 too...
I like to think it's because they're simply too good for me at the moment.

With that said, every time I face a S&V player I try not to hit too much lobs, cause if I do, he'll start smashing me, he understood my tactic, so he tries to prevails.
Have you ever experienced that?
But at the same time, I played matches without lobs, and couldn't be dangerous on return, so I started doing some lobs, not always, I let my opponent come to the net and then I played it.

For what concerns rules, I think them should be the same for everyone.
After all, you said it before, we're all gentlemen...

Join Tennis Elbow, if you're good in SV, trough time, you can become a great SV there, able to accumulate SF of gran slam / masters 1000 as I did.
Things are really more realistic for SV there, lobs are balanced (spamming lob is such a loosing tactic that nobody does it), as passing shots : it require talent to be well executed.
When you loose a point at the net, you're then never frustrated, you can only applaude the skill and tactic of the guy in front of you. Or insult yourself coz you made a fault

TS4, without any unforced error has 10 years in retard, open your eyes people !

I play against GeilerPferd and he only (!!!!!) plays Dros Shots and Lobs against my Rafter.

Thats so unbelievable cheesy and impossible to win against an Nadal with these Tactic. No Player in the World can win with S&V against that!

But i give it up to say anything, because the Hosts didn´t answer this problem.

So, i try 1 more Tournament, and when there are same Lobs like the last games, than that´s was for me with ITST. I have no time in real life to play against Cheesy Lob Players and get angry....
