Was leading Thom83 6-0 5-0 when he left.

I didn't catch his stats but it was an all rounder, yellow on most stats with poison slice and wrong foot expert.

I had 79 both wings, serve 59, vol 42, pwr 68, stamina 82, speed 73, reflex 53 with top spin invasion and poison slice. First set neither of us missed a serve but the top spin key was making it pretty easy for me to open up the court quickly off the second shot but flat shots were pretty ineffective probably because my power was less than 70. When stretched my player seemed quick and when I resorted to the slice I was able to establish my position quickly. I also thought I won more points at net than it said at the end, even though I didn't kill the first volley the speed and slice volley seemed to help in those positions.

In the end after 23 mins 1st serve 82% winning 68% of points and 75% behind my 2nd. He was 89% 1st serve winning 31% of points. I had 1 ace, 48 winners and 4 errors plus was 5/8 at net. He his 18 winners to 3 errors and was 0/5 on bp and 0/0 at net. Total points 51-23.

Puttu puttuu - jericoacoara 6-0, 6-0
SeanTayla - NeoPerseo 6-7, 6-2, 6-1

Not sure if Puttu has something to report, looks very one sided. But guy involved in the second match, could you share a bit? Thanks! :)

no not much to report... Although my opponent had a really nice setup. For once there were no massive cross court battles or huge top spin shots. Points were won with control shots and by finishing points at the net.

I know removing the TI MD setup will resolve a few issues but I still think you can still create some pretty heavy stacked players. As a counter measure ,I have that 12 offensive 8 defensive player with flammable and reach swing experts on stand bye :)

Anyway .... let's wait and see! I have high hopes for that patch, that movement glitch is really starting to piss me off !!!!!

Although going back to my old Ts3 controller has made it less of a pain for some reason...

1st Round Match

Postby SeanTayla » Sun, 08 May 2011 16:39

I actually recorded the match but I messed up the settings so it was completely out of focus and un-viewable (sorry).

It was a good match. It was just over 50 minutes in length. I believe I had 90 winners and 17 errors while he had 60 winners and 7 errors.

I don't remember his build exactly but I'm pretty sure he had Inside-Out Master and Diesel Server, if that's a possible build? It may have been Diesel Hard Hitter if not. His numbers were definitely within the rules though.

My guy's coach is Thomas Madr so he has Shot Counter and Longer, Better! I can't remember his build off the top of my head but I know his Stamina is his highest stat at 89.

As for the match itself, it was quite competitive. It was very much a constant cross-court tussle for positioning. He had the advantage until the second set when I started going for it down the line.

That's when he started using the drop-shot a lot. They were well executed drops but they didn't change the scenario of the points like he had hoped. Hence, my higher number of winners and errors.

Overall, it felt like a high quality match. I will try to properly record my next match if I figure the camera out lol.

Baghdad OrgaSIM vs Pfnerch 6-2 6-2

Baghdad: 72, 79, 62, 45, 68, 75, 73, 66 (Serve counter, Fatality)

Pfnerch: 68, 48, 80, 81, 41, 60, 76, 86 (semi-volley king, spectacular volley)

My opponents player was a born and bred serve volleyer. Due to the low ground strokes including 48 on backhand and then 41 on power the match was never be going to won from the baseline on his side. Pfnerch under sells himself each time I have played him but he doesn't need to - he is a nice SIM player in my opinion and it is refreshing to see serve and volleyers. I also put in at least 15 serve volleys during the match.

My 66 reflex seemed ample enough to put pressure on the return of serve - obviously if my timing wasn't good or perfect the volley would usually be a sure put away. If Pfnerch used his 80 serve with more precision for hitting the corners or the 'T' he would have had even more success. The majority of the serves were mid body which made reading the serve that much easier.

In summary the S+V can be a great asset in the right hands, holding serve should then be relatively easy so it comes down to having enough XP on the rest of stats in order to create a breakthrough in rallies.

A nice start to the test tournament....

A very tough match... Almost each point were very tight and I had to fight to win a point.

I don't see any overpowered stats, even if his long top spin balls were a plague...
Very good game, sad it's already finished for me !!!

Is the stamina decreasing during the whole game (not only during one game) ?
I have the feeling that my player was less and less fast and precise and my serve was awfull even if my stamina was green.

Anyway, very good experience for me and I'm looking forward the next tournament !!

Here is the final stats :

just play against shevi in 1st round :
i won 7-6 , 7-5 in 58 minutes.

my player : 77 74 62 45 68 75 73 66 (serve counter and fatality)
shevi' s player: 74 64 70 48 79 71 68 66 (semi-volley king and shot counter)

We had both "sim" players (tell me guys if you consider these 2 players as sim-one?).

So this match was a big battle, with a lot of long rallies.....i was in control in the 1st set, leading 5-3 but ihe came back, and i finally won the tie break 7-1..
Second set was really difficult for me, he plays better, broke my serve first at 2-0!!!
i came back quicly to 2-2 but he was better than me in this set!!!and i just tried to reach another tie break!!!
At 5-5 , i played my better game of this match and i finished on my serve!!

I really enjoy to play with these kind of players, it s more realistic to me, and we both enjoyed this match.
In fact i dont think we need rules for regular tour, we just need to have a sim-tour, with rules of course!!(stats restriction maybe?)
Because even if some coach or setup are banned, there will always have a set-up better than others!!

and sorry for my poor english!!

I would rather think thats just your very own stamina, after fighting on a high level for more than an hour can be exhausting as you see on your 9 double faults :-)

Dynushi: Maybe it's a part of the problem :D Still I'm sure having a good tempo was harder and harder. The worst was my serve... I use the stick and made a lot of fault dispite having a good or too soon tempo.
It was the same for hitting the lines.

I think i need toi train for long matches :D

just played dionl...i had 69 power, he had 86...that right there will tell u everything....i set myself up so many times but couuldnt put the ball away....

this is why these rules r crap...all he had was power...i was using angles, precise shost, everything that is possible to use....but without enough power or enough points on fh/bh u cant put balls away down the line....i TRIED to do this setup that people continue to say make things funner....well it doesnt make it funner...it makes it less realistic....tennis isnt about having 50 ball rallies......

if these rules become permanent im afriad im going to have to quit itst...u are just going to go from a bunch of TI/MD players to a bunch of 90 power players....

and a piont between 2 TI/MD players is WAYYYYYYYYYYYY funner than a point between two 90 power players

as soon as people started complaining i was getting mad, because i knew something like this would happen...a rule that made the game worse....

if you are going to implement these rules, u need to implement a rule that doesnt allow power to be over 80....

but then u are just going to have 50 point rallies....

so really, just giving my opinion here....but the game is fine..rules are not needed

the rules are crap because they took out your coach?

Not trying to sound like a mean asshole, but thats what I got from it.

Also its personal opinion on if a rally between 2 TS/MD is way better. I find it ridiculous to keep hitting short angle shots over and over. But like i said its personal opinion.
