I don't think these setups are overpowered at all. I have played with the 20 SV and it is no where near my favorite setup. I play much better with a half OFB and SV since it gives me more power on the serve. If I play better with this setup, how can 20 SV be overpowered?

Have you really tried to play s&v to say something like that ? I don't think so.
Because i know some players here, who played as baseliners, but tried to become s&v players, and they failed... And then, they came back to baseliners.

If you're on Xbox, i would love to play a game against you as a 20/0/0 s&v to show you it's not as easy as you think to play at a great level on serve & volley.

@The man who askes me solutions to beat s&v : the solution is to play a lot against that type of player to find the keys ; and also to try yourself a s&v player to see what are their weakness.
The topic is not about solutions here and i won't give you any secret : the only thing to do, is to variate your game, to make some wrong foot, control shots, lobs etc etc.
You have to put yourself in the head of the s&v and play where he thinks you won't gonna hit the shot...
Actually, you have to play against the logic against them.

What is strange is that when somebody loose against Berson or anybody else who is a baseliner, nobody complains ; when it's a s&v, a lot of people can't accept it... Very strange.

He's absolutely correct, the key to beating a SV is tactics. If you know what you will have to do, you will do a lot better. Maybe that's why the author can't beat SV, lack of tactics.

I didn't ask for your secrets mister! all i said is when someone comes with a topic like this, eighter he is after a solution or seeing what's people reaction to this subject(s&v) in this case, so you coming and saying its because you dont know how to play doesn't help anyone!
the game is completely unbalanced in every way possible. S&V, baseline, returning,stamina,all arounder weakness..and this list is endless.
and the reason people complain about S&V is because its not that popular nowdays and people dont use it, if you play against a great baseliner and you lose, as stupid as it is with all the long rallies and returning every ball, you can get a similar setup and do the same and improve but S&V is not something everyone wants to try.

It seems that you are just mad that all rounders are too weak, which I agree with, but what are you going to do? That has nothing to do with this. Al rounders will likely NEVER be a mainstream setup in MS. You have to wait until we finish with SIM tour.

I'm waiting for sim and yeah generally im upset that i need another player to defeat some good baseliners but my problem is not that now.
i just know how people feel when they come and write something and someone says its because you don't know how to play!
the fact that you lose means you don't chose the right tactic or you are not good enough, no need for people to make it bigger and smash it even more on your head.
no prob with me anyway..im one proud all arounder dude!

and about what im gonna do,for sim , i'd be good but for normal tournaments, i will make another character.

If all-rounder are to thrive someday in Topspin, the other three playstyles have to be made weaker. What I have realized about this game is that you are rewarded for making your player devoted to one playstyle only. This would explain why all-rounders are the weakest playstyle out of the four.

Agree with Dark Striker. I think the level system they have could be used well, if they gave more points in the first 6 levels all rounder would be better.

as an example if a good baseliner with speed of - 50. wont be able to run as good as an all arounder with over 55-60. or if the stamina was effective and once it get low, they can't hit great/accurate balls from baseline and catch everyball. it will be much easier for an all arounder to win.

but all in all..yeah, they have to make the other styles a bit weaker.

I think the problem about this game is that it isn't close enough to real life. I know this is a video game, but there are some things in this game that are just not possible in real life. Examples: 145 MPH serves consistently, 50+ shot rallies, rushing the net on weak approach shots. I might even bet money that not a single person in 2k plays tennis.

I have played maybe 400 matches online more or less, and i have played 2-3 matches against S&V players, and only 1 of them was really good.

Maybe am I playing in an alternative World Tour???
