Should we accept things the way they are? Even if we feel there are room for improvement?
I think think this is simply a matter of personal importance for everyone. To some, that Dunlop racket makes the game....they will bitch about that. To others is the fact that the game was too easy and 2K made a tad harder, now they cannot grasp i, lose matchest....and bitch. Some still believe the game needs more tweaking (me). Some just can't get over the fact that Soderling is not in the game, what an outrage! What? No purple socks to go along with my blue haircut?
Bottom line is that everyone is looking for something different in the game. But what matters to majority is gameplay after all, this is a game that meant to be played, not only looked at. Visuals are important, but they take a second role to gameplay in my book. And it shows. Our draws are larger then ever, new players coming in every week, more tournaments, players online shows almost double since the last patch.
People having an edge afraid to lose it, people not having an edge looking to gain one. In between these people and agendas, there are actually some that truly look at the gameplay from neutral position and simply want it to improve, over all.
Bitching about power was here since day one. Was it addressed? No. Why? ...I don't think there is an issue. Sure 100 power is just silly, personally, I just lose that magic "fantasy tennis" feeling when I see my opponent has that. It takes away from my experience, personally. But I cannot say that I lose to these players. I do lose to IR/CPS.
More player balancing updates coming soon guys!![]()
Big thanks to 2K for staying with the product, supporting it.

1st, people were complaining about MD/TI a lot, because it was impossible to beat bla bla bla (wich it wasn't) ....
Then 2K released a patch, no more MD/TI (well not as effective that before). The SV players were finally happy coz they could beat almost anyone, yey.
Later, people found out that they could beat those SV players with power, so people started creating power players, now SV players complain.
See the point? People should just shut the f#$% up, and play the game, and probably no patches were made and people would just play as it was.
Now, since the 1st complains made 2k change the game, now everyone complains because theres to much power, sv players to strong, i can't make winners, there's a lot of UE, bla bla bla ....
But no one even cares about the real problems the game have.
- Bad online gameplay
- Missing players (Soderling, Del Potro ..... )
- More Outfits
- More character movements
and the list go on ....
But still funny this thread lol
IAmLopes wrote:1st) it really doesn't matter, if it's bitching or not
2nd) I was happy with the game play, so i was for extra stuff. About the market, how can it cost you, if you put for exemple, more rackets, shorts, shirts etc, if it can cost you nothing, 2k can create their own line, no costs attached. If you have said that new players like Soderling, Del Potro etc would cost more money to 2k, that i could agree with you, but the money they spend with the legends, like Boris, Sampras etc, they could save that money and bought the rigths for actual players.
3) Why do you count only the people in here that complain? It could be only 50 persons complaining here, but how about in other places? Don't they count? For exemple in 2K Forum, you have alot of people complaining also, and you don't have more there, because they erase posts (yes it's true, they did erase some members complaining posts). You can't count only the people in here.
Also you can't assume just because you don't see people complaining here that they are happy with it.
Many dont know this site, or 2k forum.
About the growth, it's normal (and it's seems that i'm not the one who doesn't understand the market), unless you have a multi dollar company spending a lot of money in publicity for the game lot of the buyers will not know about the game until they see it. For exemple I bought my TS4 in May, and i didn't even knew that it was released until i saw some guy video on Youtube playing Virtua Tennis 4, and i remembered TS, so i went on check if they had released some also. So i played the demo and liked, so i bought it.
And also depends the release date of the countries and plataforms, people are starting to buy the game.
You can't say it's because of the patch.
Oh and if you want complains, go to 2K forum (not all the complains, because half of it were erased).

it had been already said prepatch people had an edge over everyone due to the various flaws in the game are not happy. Clearly people didn't read the development diaries made by 2k and what they hoped to achieve balanced gameplay meaning no style was more effective than the other. And now Ithey are closer to achieving this. The abuse of angles ,the lack of errors were not what they were trying to achieve . The controls still allow casual players to enjoy the but is you want to be a top player you won't do it exploiting flaws in the game. if you dnt like it don't play but don't stop others from helping 2k create a game where all styles are competitive.djarvik wrote:1. What you perceive as a fact. It's a forum, people voice their opinion, you label their opinions as "bitching" I labeled yoursIt's cool that you think that just because you said it it's a fact.
2. Lack of equipment choices doesn't equal lack of equipment. You need to draw the line somewhere. Why not have every racket and every sock that every player ever used? You cannot draw two polar opposite and build your argument on it man. Equipment is there and game play is there, so now, at the current state of the game, what is more important to you? ...better game-play or extra rackets?
You have a lot to learn about business if you think that one variable is enough to succeed. Really? More option equals more market? What about the cost of this option? ...ahh who cares, the more the better!
3. Why is it stupid exactly? Because you said that? Define "so many people" please. 5? 10? 20? 50? So you think 50 opinions is enough to drastically change the game? When you have over 1000 online players daily at the same time in peak hours? Not so sure.
So the constant growth of online players both on WT and ITST means nothing then? Please explain.
...and once again, you "decide" on what is the "real" problem in the game.
...and we actually have less complaints then before. Look it up, forum stores everything.
Nothing personal here man, I just like to argue. Indulge me.

hey htx for the nice words in the match summary!!:) But I decided to also jump on the bandwagon of power. Up until now I've always played with 65 power or less. It's my match against you. You didn't have a lot of speed, but you somehow got to every ball. Nothing I could do to pass you. And situations like that happen a lot against power players lately. So I'm not gonna waste points on Speed anymore, but put them into power instead:) Hopefully our next match will have shorter and less frustrating rallies:)
Well played yesterday!!!
