yes especially if your not an adult and your parents make you go places at the time you arranged

I agree, i never actually have the right to the TV, My dad mum and sister have no problem kicking me off the TV ever or making me do something when on TV, so i have to pick times when there is no chance of this happening

start Mixed material Arts and this will change soon lol

thats indeed a problem when you are not a adult - so you must find a time when your parents not at home ,or when you have the might to enter the TV 8)

very good idea to make a summary here.
Quite good to remind everybody of CET, which is GMT+2 now with the summer time. Good job!

BTW we encourage you guys to offer your available times to your opponent when sending your 1st message (if possible of course).

What we usually find when checking PMs is the following (70% of the times at least)

Example:
Player A
October 10 at 10:00 PM
Hello mate, when can you play our match?

Player B
October 11 at 8 AM
Hi, i'm online now

(Notice that most of the guys don't check the PMs every 5 minutes, so what usually happens here is that your rival reads the message 2 hours later, 1 day later...)

And here we're officially in a vicious circle

Player A October 12 at 12 AM CET
When can you play? i'm online now

Player B October 13 at 10 AM CET
I'll be on in 10 minutes if you wanna play

and this goes on until the deadline, if they're lucky they'll get the match played but they have low probabilities.

From our experience we think that offering times to play is always a better option. I do know that some times this is impossible because some of you guys have busy weeks and you can not assure your opponent an exact time to play.

All the above said is only thinking in your best interest, we have no problems if you wanna keep arranging your matches that way, no problem at all.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Hello, members (talking like I own the place...)

I'm new here. Just registered.

I play Top Spin 4 since last September and I would like to improve my game. So, I think what I'm trying to say is I would like to arrange a few matches with someone willing to "play the noob" and giving me some hints.

"GO PRACTICE". Yes, I know. And yes, I have. But playing the Very Hard dificulty is not exactly making me better. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don't. But playing against Nadal? No chance here.

Also, if this is not the proper place for such a request, I apologize.

Thanks!

Hey I'm new to the game as well. If you want you can add me on Xbox Live and we can play against each other for practice if you like. My gamertag is Pawnstaarr.

Pawnstaarr

Thanks for answering back! Sorry, I forgot to say that I have a PS3... :\

It would have been great to play with you, but, unfortunately, we don't share the same system.

Nice to now you were willing, though! :)

Best wishes!

If you like playing fair, just invite me when you see me online!:)
did you check the "fair-rules" from this site? serve from the T, no drop shot abuse or defense drop shot, no return lob or defense lob, some coaches and/or statistics not allowed...you may check it quickly if you didn't!
see you

Hi, Chris!

I didn't know that it existed a "fair-rules" page, but now that I think about it, makes all sense, of course! :) No doubt I'll read it!

Ok, when I go back online I'll add you, then.

One more thing, do you talk to your adversary between matches? For example, if I'm doing something I shouldn't, like returning a lob because I didn't fully understand the rules, do you have a way to warn me of the mistake? Just to make sure...

Tks! :)

Waxman, it's simple

1. No lob returns
2. No drop shots spamming
3. Serve from the middle (or 1-2 steps from the middle), no zero power service
4. I think you know some coaches are forbidden
5. Look for setup rules (no one stat under 42, only 1 stat grey or no one grey)
6. Enjoy yourself without stress

Thanks for the six points lesson, Crystal!

Just for curiosity, is there, is this forum, a reason why those rules aply? I can't find the post...

One question: when you say "no lob returns", it means it's forbidden to use the triangle? Or can I use the lob only when the adversary is playing the net?

there's no a rule about lob return but no one use it cause it's unfair so it's a good idea don't use this awful way
