My thoughts exactly, played a 100 power guy right now that had a good timing, and i felt like a kid just tapping top spin deep and that guy kept on bashing me, slices are just pathetic.

Im honestly thinking about making a power guy, maybe 15-5 babb or rabari.

I stepped up my game, but unfortunately is easyer to play OFB now so im making myself a 15-5 rabari.

 ...well glad you know now! yeah it got much more difficult to beat these noobs, i lost some bad 4/3 4/3 matches on tie breaks! really annoying , im a bit better generally, got used to it a bit more but i still dont see my all arounder having good chances against a good half smart power player, i just wanted to change my player but i still can't decide to keep my all arounder or get an OFB and feel safer against these players...you know  me as a Roger fan, had a few messages from WT players that i have a nice Roger build and i also play like him:)) so im not sure. what a silly reason to keep a player. but i love playing with it...even if its the weakest.

Nice!

We went from DFB being the best built, to OFB being the best build in one day.

I am just waiting for transition to SV now....

....maybe AA next.

Just proves that the update is a good one.

I never said DFB being the best build, but I notice OFB is still the easiest to play, there are other top players from this site who still agree with me. The only setups they can be chanceless against when in the right hands are still the ones with huge power.

It's a fact that in real life these type of players makes the most unforced errors of all type of players. But in this game this is the most unrealistic thing: allmost no unforced errors, which make you come to the simple conclusion that OFB is still to easy to control becouse you can just keep hitting flat without fail. It should be a strength and huge advantage for DFB that they would hit WAY less ue, but this is not the case in this game so it's only logical that with there huge power powerplayers are the easiest to play with.

But you are definetely right: This update is definetely a good one I am happy with it, just to bad for these little things who still force you to hang on to setups who can compete instead of those you would really like to play with.

Is anyone else thinking that is harder to hit really deep shots???

Even with two red wings my control shots are staying kinda shortet, maybe its just me.

er well here it is i thought passing was a b*tch before the patch . but now its feels a little harder on the sim tour ,i played rocketsfall he used sobchak me fortis and passing was hard even when i got him out of position the high reflexes allow him to react faster enough to get to the next ball.

as for all rounders in general i do think they are more effective provided they serve well and set up the points well. the one stand out thing with this update is everyone will want to have a high serve stat .

i expect to see quite a few diesel serve low volley combo with 93 serve because i played one guy and it was rough trying to return that serve so i wont be suprised if everyone follows suit

Is it possible that 2k based their power player style on highlight reels where everything is a winner, and not full matches where the ratio of winners to UEs is often 1:1 or worse?

Played a few matches on 2K open last night..the pace of play does seem to be slightly quicker.

I also didn't realize how much stronger control shots are now, which is good because I've been practicing hard the past couple months to get comfortable with control shots and to stop pre-pressing.

edit: Played around with the CPU on the hardest setting tonight, to better get the feeling for the update...I beat CPU Federer with my Davydenko and only lost 1 point

I've always tried to get a 'perfect' score on the CPU but this is the closest I've come. I got to 6-0, 4-0 before I screwed up.

Okay i played around 50 WT matches after the patch and i can say for sure All Arounder is handicap style now after the patch, why?
i didnt get bad results, i mean its bad compared to previous seasons! this season i got to all the finals and losing them closely which makes me happy that even if its even worse for all arounder, i can still compete against most of players but there is NO CHANCE against some players and almost ANYONE (non AA style) who is a bit smart and knows what he is doing, can take you to a long exhausting match!
the guy is 10 metter behind the baseline, and i can't use a damn drop volley, with perfect timing, it still goes out!
returning is more difficult now which is good but again for all arounder that doesnt have a big weapon to counter big shots after big serves, is fatal.
no slices or drop shots to use against power players ( almost everyone).
I officialy give up on my sweet AA! time to kick these noobs butt with some bigger setup.
