Oh nice :D

I've also just hit the most brilliant dropvolley I'll ever hit playing TS4. Using Wawrinka against Simon I had this great bh approach shot, and then while approaching the net I hit the dropvolley just in front of the service line, to see the ball land less than a meter behind the net. Boy, this game can only get worse from now on :D

I did the same thing in an online match. May player apologized, but I was like, "Whatever, I'll totally take that"

Man, I hate it when players apologize for hitting the net. I think it's cool that they included it in the game, because like it or not a lot of pros do that, but I still think it's lame! I also hate it when players applaud their opponent's shot. That should be like a once-a-year thing you do, for some INCREDIBLE shot.

I watched some old McEnroe/Connors match, and McEnroe cheered some passing shot he hit that totally hit the net and jumped over Connor's racquet  I thought that was awesome.

got the game today and wow i suck hahaha, just played 3 sets against CPU (very hard) and i barely could win a game, but the problem was not the opponent, it was me that i could not hit a proper shot to the line, not a single one   , i'm sad because i guess Norberto is already hitting winners down the line...well i know it   , like all videogames this one also requires many hours of practice, and i don't have time.

Same problem here, I am really struggling to get the timing down. My serve is going nowhere and I cant return. I think no dpad isn't helping me, I can move ok but i can't direct my shots well without it.

So, played my first match today. I was sampras against Very Hard agassi, at london.

I got embarrassed 3-6 1-6.

I had a run where i was 0-2 down in the 1st set and won 14 points in a row, but after that it went to pieces, i couldn't get to the net quick enough to hit a volley, my serve was been returned with intrest, nearl every volley i hit was 'too soon' and i generally failed.

Stats:-

1st serve 84 88
1st serve win%: 41! 61
2nd serve win %: 67 60
aces: 2 0
DF's: 1 0
winners: 28 52!!
Ue's: 3 4
Bp's won: 1/4 5/5
Net points won: 20/22 0/0
Total points: 35 56

Crap, you're already better than me. The 1st thing I did (after the academy actually  ) Was Sampras vs. Agassi on very hard, but I lost 2-6 0-6 :(

The timing for the volleys is different as in ts3. But it's also awkward when you think you time it well, but your player decides to take it after the bounce, making it a regular shot with different timing.

The margin for timing is tiny too. some shots im convinced are perfectly timed but are too soon, but any later and i would be passed

I love the game, but they need to fix online. I want to play online, but in 50 percent of the matches it says "Please wait... The game is currently finding the best opponent for you...". You can wait 5 minutes, you can wait 10 minutes but nothing is gonna change. Do I start up the game again, I get a loss. So ridiculous. I have won more times then I lost, but this ridiculous thing is messing up my stats.

Yeah, that needs to be fixed. You should not get a loss for just leaving the lobby.

So I just played my first

a) match against an ITSTer in TS4 (Rocketsfall), ended with a loss in two straight sets. Both ended with a tie break so it was really even and well played.

b) match in 2K Open, won in two straight sets with Roddick against Nadal. It's great to play with Roddick but must be a nightmare to face when in the hands of someone with a little skill.

c) match in WT, won this match too in straight sets. My player was lvl 1 and the guy I faced was lvl 8. I think I may have been lucky to get an opponent that wasn't experienced. When I saw his lvl I was sure I would loose.

so I have to say that this is a fantastic game. Fantastic I say!

I just hope the slice-cheesers and cheaters I've been reading about get stopped. Quickly!

Finally got around to playing some TS4. I need to play it more before I give my full opinion of the game but here are some thoughts already:)
I quite like the career mode..had some fun matches there.I like the unpredictability of the matches, like getting a netcord or shanking a return, though I imagine these would NOT be fun in a hard-fought ITST match :?
Anyway, got my player up to lvl 18 whenI decided to try out some online play. My very first match was a disconnect where the screen wouldn't load from the lobby so had to sign off to the dashboard and got handed a loss for it. It was fine after that though so I played around 5 matches, all which I won fairly handidly.
Then I tried out some exhibition sets against an ITST player and got my ass handed to me on a plate  Anil trashed me 6-2 and 6-1. I only won 6 points in that second set too. He is crazy good!! I couldn't keep up with the pace at all.

Actually, these seem to be perfectly implemented. I know they aren't something you can do intentionally (like the netcords in the table tennis game), though you could potentially figure out which shots give you a better chance of getting a let cord. One problem is that I have never seen a letcord not go over the net. You would think some of them would fall back on the same side.

Other than those problems, I feel they were a great addition.

and how come on the netcords it always happens off perfectly timed shots or serves?

Wouldnt they happen off shots that were not timed perfect?
