Do you think our ideas and suggestions ever get to the producer. I have a few ideas but I suppose it would need community support to even be considered. Will post ideas if people think we could influence upcoming title. Also be good to see what other people would like from Top Spin 5

Ideas do get through. Just look at the player creator. That would not be something they would come with on their own. That was a community wish and they included it to please the community. With community i do not mean ITST specifically but more the entire TS4 player base as a whole.

That being said, it will never be direct input. Im pretty sure developers do some field research within communities. They extract the ideas that they like. Add a lot of their own and develop te game. So voicing your opinion is always a good thing. It might just get picked up. If a lot of people agree and voice it as well then that is certaintly a good thing.

First Idea Playstyles
All round Defensive Baseliner Offensive Baseliner S&V
Then specialist Style to Fit Playstyle eg Offensive Baseliner and Big Server
Cap Stats on different styles for balancing Max and Min
XP re designed and earnt on match performance(Grading System) and towards attribute concerned eg you hit ace you get serve XP. Xp cost less when put into Attributes that fit your playing style. Will post in small sections so not as boring to read through. Ideas welcome and criticisms

Next FH & BH Groundstrokes
Flat topspin slice drop shot & lobs
Also min max caps effected by style and Xp cost more or less as well.
Should balance shot spamming as certain styles would have invest a lot of Xp in to a stroke that still isn't going to be a effective shot type. Also think slice shots should be controlled only. Shot curvature would also be good

Lag quit option Should stop can't connect loses and can quit known cheaters etc.
Training camps to improve skills and stat from pros

Endorsements with expectations

Dynamic goals and stats

I would like to see the top 10 from the year end in the game male & female then add 2 out the top 10 like venus an isner them maybe 2 or 3 legends like chrissy an pete

Risk system shouldnt be that strong as it was in ts3. It destroyed the rallies.

i think they should get rid of smell of blood, monster defense, all other skills help timing of shots they need to improved ball trajectory have a second serve stat, the speed and stamina system needs to be fixed serve and volleyers in real life are fit wilander vs mac DC final is testament to that. accurate player signature stroke and serve animations since namco (makers of smash court tennis 3) isnt gonna release another tennis game soon i say they adopt their paramenter feature where they had power play (offensive baseliner), serve volley, ground stroke play ( defensive baseline) tactical play (the ability to use different spins and hit slices ),footwork fh, bh, i mean that game actually has a second serve so you cant hit flat second serves to often

Top Spin 4 is not so realistic as you can say.
Is it realistic a game that allows you to hit, in practice, at least 85% of first serves in all the match, even hitting the ball at 210-215 kmh?
Is it realistic a game that allows you to hit more of 120 winners in a five set match?
Is it realistic a game that allows a player who loses 61 61 (for example) to hit 20-25 winners?
Is it realistic a game that allows a player to make 10-20 unforced errors in a five set match?

Ok you got the point.
I think TS4 is still too much "arcade" in some particular cases.

But anyway, to me the point is not this or that skill. I mean, it's ok to have smell of blood, monster defens, etc.
If there's something to change, I think it's the range of player stats. For example, if you divide player setup in "Serve and volley", "Offensive baseline" and "Defensive baseline", with 20 total "credits", you could put a minimum amount of credit in each setup.
Like not less of 3 credit in SV/OB/DB, for example.

So you avoid "extreme" stats like 100 power, 85 speed, 90-90 fh-bh, 98 serve, and so on. Making that, you can handle a Samala (or Welch) guy with a shot-counter player too, I think.
Of course also the coach setups should be modified (for instance, to get Samala you won't need 17 points to DB anymore, and so on).

I think stamina should play a huge role in the strategy of the game. Like if you going for the big serve your stamina will be reduced to a one two punch that if ineffective leaves you struggling in the rally or if fault second service would be less power and accuarcy.With dynamic stats this could be like a 10% reduction in all Groundstrokes and speed. I think serves should be punished more I often find even with perfect return service down the line versus slow players theyre able to still get to it. This should stop people tramline serving to. Like to see more strategy to defensive players too. For example it's 40-0 rather than getting involved in a long rally just conserve stamina for your serve. I think long rally's should degrade grounstroke quality over the match that is never recovered and same with power/speed. Think speed needs to be better represented but not sure how.

I wonder what player licenses they're going to get. Federer will probably be among the legends :)

Djokovic if he stays fit, Nadal if he comes back, Murray, maybe Raonic as a Roddick replacement. Tsonga is still young and so is Delpo.

Women's legends should include players like Navratilova, Hingis and Graf. And hopefully you can play against your own creations. And not as limited in your stats and coaches choice as you are now.

I wish they would've improved upon the great player creator in TS3. TS4 is 2 steps back.

To avoid confusion (although i am not sure with whom) i was talking about the create a player quickly as in stats. Not the player creator for the looks. You are right on that by the way. TS3 was better in that regard.

Agree first serve % needs more faults winners hit to be reduced and more unforced errors. I think there needs to be simulation setting for the hardcore players with custom settings available to the player and expert mode needs harder /intelligent. This means you won't isolate the casual player as well. ££££. The majority of the current male roster are inactive so most of them could be in legends category and would be nice to get the top 32 active. Think career mode as a pro would be nice option and some classic match ups with scenarios. Also maybe in career mode your character ages and skills decline/injuries etc.
