how to make online connection for ITST game

Hello,

Tomorrow i'll have to play my first game for ITST tournament, and i was wondering how the online connection works in TS4.
I suppose it is "playstation network", then "player match" i have to choose, then setup all the needed parameters, and then send invitation to the other player, is that correct how it works ?

Please confirm or correct please, so i'll know what to do.
