Frustration and curiousity about TS4 PS3

Postby bimbobo » Fri, 15 Jun 2012 11:38

Hi,
my first post.

Is it me or TS4 is slow, not realistic and difficult to manage as a game?

The shots that succeeded in one point, ends badly in the next one. Balls go out without reason, power is difficult to achieve. Either you are in the very precise spot or shots are slow and easily returnable.

I have also VT4 and GS2 and all 3 have weakness, but at least I can decide in VT4 and GS2, power, lenght and precision.

In TS4 which is the one "I would like most" all is non-logical and difficult.
Even the training is buggy. I am stuck at some point where perfect or good shots for "control shot" do not work.

I think many of you are expert in TS4, I played hours and seems to have few progress in understanding the way to play it.

I hope to have some good hints here.

hi

very important is how to positioning your player. This is what DennieFR told me.
The perfect shots are unrealisitc for sure in my eyes. They are hitten stronger than the power shots and very fast.

99% perfect timing is a must have, to have a chance in this game against many player here in ITST. But also to play with intelligence, how to open the field, because UE are almost inexistent.
Also what kind of hits you should choose in situations during the match. Fifa Tee is THE expert about this. Or you are an expert in hitting short cross hits.

More you practice, more you become better.
Months ago I would never believe to defeat Aleex92, look at his record.
Was an unbelievble hard match for both of us.

Add me for some practice, if you want. I am an average player. And with 31 not the fastest on court... 8)

ciao ciao

For initial training, look at the ball all the time in the first matches, dont worry if you lose, u hve to try to hit perfect shots every time. Then u will get used to it, and u u can practice about where the shots have to be placed.

But everything depends of your style.
I recomend too, to try to hit perfect services and returns, its a very important part of the game, because is the first shot u will make.

About TS4 and difficulty, 2K games are always very hard games. I think TS is easier than, for example, NBA2K. But its normal, the invest on TS is way slower than in NBA2K. In EA sports games, for example, i think there is a point in which you depend more about luck, then about being good. Well, i have to say the last EA sports games i played was FIFA 10

Thank for the answers..
Exactly! Strategy.. and I am second to none imho. Problem is that when I push the opponent out, my "winner shot" becomes a "loser" shot. I try to hit and cross and the result is crap. Or it's good but for unbelievably reasons, the opponents becomes Bolt and runs from 1 side to another and hits back.

Not even Federer or Nadal could do so.

Position? Yes but not 99% it must be 100% and you are not forgiven a mistake of 1 millimetre.

I am not an EA or others fan, actually TS4 is better that the others in perspective, but there is not consistency in strategy and shot performance.

I cannot even train serve or other things because I am stuck at a point and cannot move on to next step.

Not even my son can, and so it's not a matter of me getting old anymore.

You're right the game is crappy slow and unrealistic, not to mention the menus load slower than my grandmother running the Boston Marathon. However despite this it's still a pretty fun game.

The opponents serve at 120 KMH and it's not MPH, I have checked that.

We tried to set CPU level higher and it's better but still my son plays against Federer and Djokovic and they serve at 140/150?? It's not in "exibitions" but in "career mode" and he is Rising Star now..

We like the game, but it would be better if power, direction and movement could be controlled in another way and a bit more realistic.

Maybe TS5 will change that.

If you guys know how to change things so the opponents serves and acts a bit more "realistic" please let me know.
