I think it is impossible to SV without holding r1 during all serves...

Yeah pretty much, even with ZPS you simply lack the momentum. But with a 200 km/h risk serve there's little time to follow up even with R1 so I sometimes switch to topspin or slice serves.

Okay, I've tried listening to this for a couple of days now. Using regular serve mostly, then when I want to S&V use R1. Guess what! Every time I try to S&V, my opponent uses a simple short topspin to force a drop shot(or a ridiculously bad volley). Against good players, if you're forced to charge the net everytime you use a R1 serve, it's just handing them an easy opportunity for an easy point. S&V with an all-rounder will be practically dead against a concentrated opponent. Also, sometimes the game engine sends your player to one side, giving an easy return winner to your opponent, so it's not foolproof either. For the returns, they're just faster looking, and aren't harder to return than regular ones.

Anyway, I will continue using R1 serves more than regular ones, because I have used them the most and are more comfortable using them. If people believe they are better than regular ones, please use them instead. Nothing is stopping you. You don't have to use a specific coach or anything. Still, I'm sure you won't feel any noticeable difference/advantage to your game using it or not.
