Gentlemens Agreement

Postby DennieFR1908 » Thu, 05 Apr 2012 20:51

I was just thinking... perhaps we can have a gentelmen agreement to use the new rules that are being tested in tournaments?? Ofcourse that can't count for everyone on this site but just for people who also read these forum's and know each other to have more fair, balanced matches??

Great initiative :D

I'm in, however I would go even further, suggesting that we use players with no gray stats and "ban" Top Spin Invasion too. 8)

If many people join this agreement, I might consider returning to the tour.. :P

Let's not be silly. Banning grey stats would lock out tons of good coaches. And look at the licensed players, most of them have one grey stat, usually volley because this is how they play and how tennis has evolved.

If your opponent agrees you can take that setup. So ppl who are agreeing to this agreement agree that you can take him. It's no problem for the hosts these are rules but if your opponent agrees that you take a certain setup that would be possible.

Just as an addition, as to avoid future disputes. If you proceed and press the "Ready" button and start the match - you are agreeing to whatever setup your opponent uses.

I dont want to hear that anyone quits, or loses a match only to say later that opponent used a wrong player.

Same goes for Banned setups. If you start the match - you agreed to play with them, rules or no rules is irrelevant at that point.
