Newbie Q -Creating the best player ?

Hi,
I am an avid TS3 player wanting to get into TS4 and your fun here.
my Q is, what caracters are good to start with e.g. length, weight, and so on, my caracther is TS3 is way to big & heavy IMO.

why do I ask, I don't want to spend many hours getting my ranking up only to find that my player have to wrong skills

I know this is probably personal taste, but just asking if there are any tips.

What type of player you want to create? (Defender, Offensive or S&V?)
Do you like to make the ralley or counter?
Do you like long ralleys or very short?
