Does The Game Get Harder The More Slams You Win

Postby broonster » Thu, 01 Mar 2012 03:46

I'm only playing on hard level first off.

I've just about finished the game, I need to win one last international tournament (Barcelona) but it's become fricking impossible to win the final. I've already beaten Nadal in a couple of Slam finals but in this last tournament he seems way harder to beat. It's as if the game has moved me up to Very Hard or Expert to get this last tournament win. I'm playing shots right into the corners that i KNOW he wasn't getting before and now he's returning them ... and with bloody winners too.

I've been doing the old "quit without saving" technique so I can go back to same match and I've done this over 5 times and I still can't beat the bugger.

Am I just making this up, am I going mad or what?

The difficulty definitely scales depending on the match, but I don't think it matters how many tourny wins you have. It's just the particular match in each tournament that changes.

Barcelona is only a Major tournament, top players like Nadal don't even go there. Unless you're talking about the Europe Cup or Tennis World Finals.

Minor tournies are attended by Lv 3-5
Majors are attended by Lv 6-14
Masters and Grand Slams are attended by Lv 15-20

Difficulty level is upped by one in Grand Slam (and I think in in the All Stars Tournament and Top Spin Finals) semi finals and finals. So if you play on Hard, your opponent (which will ALWAYS be a licensed player) will be playing at Professional Level.

That's for the PS3 version but I don't see why it would be different for X-Box

One more thing: The CPU gets a bit better when you have a game/break/set/match point.

Yes it's cheap.
