Scoreline balance

Postby Sherlock 117 » Sat, 23 Apr 2011 23:28

Just wanted to mention this. One thing the developers seem to have gotten almost spot on is the balance between serving and receiving. Especially since the first balance update, it seems like it's definitely a benefit to be serving, but not impossible to break serve. On the other hand, it was rare in TS3 to get a break.

In a TS4 match between two close players (in skill, and coaches  ) you might see a tiebreak, but you have a better chance now of seeing one or two breaks.

To compare, here are the ITST scores in the past 24 hours:

And here is the draw from the TS3 Australian Open:

I totally agree with you Sherlock. I think the serving and returning is really well balanced now. It shouldn't be near impossible to break everyone. You usually see a fair amount of breaks irl matches.

For me it feels like it's harder to hold than to break a serve...but that could just come from my player style as he's a counter puncher - or from just serving poor :?
