Doubles Anyone..?

Postby xREDHEATx » Mon, 11 Apr 2011 23:04

New here and just seeing if anyone here plays doubles. My roomate and I love this mode and can be hard to find games...

Gamertag we use is
RICKER 1 NINE on 360.

Patches for this mode...You guys seem to have insight to this so add this to reccomendations..

-Ability to play online doubles and not have the person sitting next to you.
-Ability to use 2 created players online. You can log in under your account but wont bring up created player...

I have been asking for this ever since TS2. At least they could have a doubles ranking (like they did back on TS1). It would be so awesome to play doubles matches on TS4.

I am gutted there is no ranked doubles too. My brother lives 200 yards from me and he has just bought the game. We are both hoping to play loads of doubles once he is up to scratch but without even a basic ranking system I can't imagine many people will get hooked playing it like on TS1. Also the stated problems with created players are going to make things a ball ache. I imgine i'll have to source a memory card to move players over to my brothers 360 and him to mine.

Anyways I'll keep an eye on this thread and add you guys. I remember back on TS1 we even had some doubles tourney's on the ITST? If enough people show an interest I can't see why we could have the occasional one off eh Sherlock?

I've always suggested they don't do a full doubles tour, but that they do doubles for grand slams and some of the masters. So you would only ever have a maximum of 2 doubles matches a week.

I don't think my bro is into it so much anymore so I wouldn't be able to do it. But I'm sure there are a few guys out there who would be up for it.

We are willing to host doubles tournaments for bigger tournaments if there is enough interest. It is possible, TS1 and TS3 showed that.

I think there were more doubles tournaments on TS2 than there were on TS3...but yes it is possible. I would say keep it to no more than 10 tournaments a year.

I was doubting whether it was TS2 or TS3. You are right though. During TS2 we had a big enough following to have a good run of doubles tournaments. The sign up numbers of the TS4 tours are good so far so we should be able to do the same now.
