Is it safe to assume that it is best to put everything up to 100%? My character is modeled after my real life ability to play tennis. So, I don't play that with a maxed character.

Yet, since we cannot tell if some one is "pumped-up," it maybe so that most have their character's ability up to 100% in each skill.

Maybe, there can be a sim version (restricted percentage) and a reg tour (max percentage).

Just some suggestions.

slt
si j'ai bien compris ce topic ,ca serai pour essayer d'interdire les joueurs avec les compétences boosté a 100%.
moi je suis completement pour interdire ca car cela fausse la compétition.
c'est une question d'équité et de fairplay.

Curious. Sam seemed to have typed in French. What language is this?

So now any participant of ITST Full Ace Tennis Tour can make his character's skills pumped up to 100% and then play with this character in Tour?

I am not part of the competition, but I guess there is no rule yet about that. It seems to me that the first thing to do would be for ITST FATour community to agree on a rule. Then if it appears some players aren't trustworthy, I could provide means inside the game to help enforce it.

Kschoice,

I think that will be a great idea to work on this any way. There is no way of checking to see if a player will be honest with his/her character set-up. Also, there is no standard or rule saying what is an "acceptable" character to play with.

Like you said, a character max should be agreed on and then a game notification feature needs to be added in your game.

This way, players can then verify the character's talent.

Another way would be to agree on an ITST character database, only those characters would be suitable for competition (it could/should also contain official stadiums for ITST tournaments).

If that is the case, that is good, but players still can edit the stats with your editor.

I think there should be a character max standard then you would implement it after it is all decided on.

This way, everything will be fair. I agree with you.

I just has to be quick, because 2011's tour is already here.

I still could enforce use of a character in the official, untempered, file. For example, client player could be forced to choose a character in the server player's database. This way, there would be no surprises.

Anyway, first thing is for ITST competitors to agree on something.
