view mode

Postby Celest » Wed, 20 Aug 2008 21:10

Hi everybody

first of all i am very sorry if this subject has been already treated.

And sorry too for my approximativ english, i am french and don't speak well shakespeare's language.

Well, i would like to Know what is your view mode when you play, and, what is the view mode of the best players ?

I think this is very important because the game is based on placement, and the way you view the ball coming is influencing your movement.

Thank you for your answers.

I use TV mode but prefer zoom mode ( so not close or far )

I noticed with TV mode i can see the ball better for returns and for hitting risk....

I do not have the game. However, I want you to know that I play a lot of tennis game. I always pick the far view (or as you typed, farest one).

Oh, by the way, your English is not that bad. Even native writers and speakers of this language need to improve every day. It is nice to know that you are willing to do the same with us. LOL.

I use the TV view. I wish I could use zoom, because it would help for judging the height of the ball on volleys. But it makes it harder for me to time groundstokes, and the ball goes out of the screen on the service toss.

I use the one called TV far. It gives me the best overview of the court and the other player.

True, it's a pity we cannot see our player in zoom mode.

Q. Reese thank you !

Kluddkalle: of course for the view, but it is harder to see the height of the ball ?

Hi sark....I mean Celest,

I use the normal TV view. Oh, and this is the first tennis game where I always stay on the lower half of the screen, instead of doing the usual changeover.

PS.

I'll send you a PM reply some time later.

Well, that's the only real downside to it, but to me it's more important to have a good view of the deapth of the ball. The height pretty much takes care of itself if I'm properly placed in deapth.

It'd be interesting to know if the majority of players choose to always stay at the bottom or not?

I normally play from both top and bottom, for variety. However, staying at the bottom seems to have its variety as well, as on some court the brightness is different?

lol who in their right mind would wanna play from the top of the screen? I have had to play there when playing on the same console against some friends but I hate it. It is much harder to get a feel for the ball when playing from there.
