Just had my worst match ever in my us open sf mss

I dont know what his problem is with me. Maybe because i've beaten him in pilot pen tennis final. we were playing and it was actually going pretty well for me keeping my serve easily and pressuring him on his serve. Then out of nowhere he uses the short slice. First i thought ok i wasnt expecting this from him but is just 1 slice. Then we were playing further and he keep using it to steal cheap points. We were getting to the tie breaker in the first set and i won it. After that i was serving but it had to stop so i send him a message while i was serving and he was just playing further. By the time i was getting back to playing it was 0-30 and i thought he would give me the points back. but he didnt he keeps playing to break me desperately. Even with his beloved short slices R2 L2 it didnt work. I held my serve and i send him a message again. But he didnt respond. From that point he uses the slice on every point. He served then 1 shot and the short slice 2 or 3 times. We got to the tiebreaker and i dont know maybe he was feeling he had no other choice but in that tiebreaker it was all short slices. I decided to quit after that.

Maybe he's mad i found a style to play against him and cant handle the pressure
If that's your idea of playing against me man you might as well have the match. It's hard to believe you would do such a thing just to beat me.
After our incident at wimbledon i wanted to distance myself from you and didnt want too play you at all. But as i was about to face at pilot pen, i thought what the heck it was a long time ago. But you just couldnt keep it together. After wimbledon you said i despite you. Well after this match you despite me and i dont think i will ever play you again man. Great player but you lost my respect after this.
I will explain it too cro morgan if you get the win i hope you lose it men you cheater.

This is pretty much a recurring theme here on the PS3 tour, it is a shame too. Lonamer you are a great player. ITST is such a great idea but we have too many members who will do anything to get a win. Look at what has become of the PS3 tour, no one hardly posts and when they do it is because of bad sportsmanship from other members. One of this tour's beloved top 10 player have left the tour too. It is no coincidence....slowly but surely all of the actual tennis fans will move on, and this tour will be left with nothing but "gamers"...a la top spin world tour :?

I Agree Because

Postby NEUTRONOStar » Sun, 19 Sep 2010 04:52

I Agree with Lonamer even though i have not played ITST i have practiced with many players and i have found when they are in trouble most will resort to R2 Slice and use this shot to save there ass.

This is one of the main reasons i have not yet entered any tournaments as i amlearning to compensate against the R2 Slice.

Will Top Spin 4 be much better in regards to R2 slice.

It's interesting the short slice. I use to say is not much of a problem but that was on x-box 360 tour. I play today a short slicer on world tour and that short slice is impossible to get player to move to, I mean impossible. Player just doesn't get to it. I never use that in my game but I was stunned that it was so bad on PS3. Unfortunate to give up but there is little choice in playing on if every shot will be a shot that your player has no chance of getting to. I expected better of maximo

Take it easy please.

This tournament with disconnections, walkover, and play probleme is a shame.Ok.

But there is lot of cools and clean player.Who love tennis and play this like a video game simulation with fun, variety and respect.

djarvik,coke,alex,brger,villa,fedfan,petrelli,lerc,jose,likos,vxm,darkpaladin ect..and many others.

Keep the pleasure.

And,honestly, what do you want to say if there s something wrong?

man i really did not expect this from maximo after all the things that was said to me from maximo and number of players when i used short slice which was a trial of the shot i stopped useing it instantly,,, this is a real shame coz maximo is great when he plays clean he did use short slice in a couple of our matches mainly in the tie breakers but not excesivly,, i just think this is hypicritcal of maximo after what was said to me about the short slice,,, this a real shame that a match between 2 such great players the best on the tour in my opinion had to end like this

What i often find as a recurring theme on ITST Riley is hypocracy , one person says something on forum and does another thing on match , ive seen it happen so many times , thats why i just get on with it ,

Brgflipr left the tour due to one of these reasons and also the fact that he hasnt got the time much now to play, as i am finding also now.

But regarding Maximo ive always found him to be a clean player but uses slice if pushed into a very defensive position but that i think is pretty normal from most people anyways

p.s but i will say it can get to the stage that people are gonna stop distinguishing normal slice from L2 R2 Slice and that gonna make things crazy

I cant say nothing too him he's too experienced to know better than this. But as for topspin hell no i'm not quitting!! I love too compete with you guys. All of you are clean players. I have yet too say too a player that he plays cheesy. Some styles are hard too deal with then others but i didnt have problems with it. I never have to quit a match because of that. But this was too much. I actually won a lot of the points he uses the slice with but the whole match naaah man not for me.
I will keep the pleasure definetly but its a grandslam sf you know. I could have won it and it did look like i was gonna be in the final. My first mss grandslam final you know. But dont matter next time better

PS. I didnt know brgrflipr quit man  it's a damn shame

....so my Coin-toss loss leads to this?

Guys, its cool that you express your opinion online, but, it includes a name - Maximo. So if he even hints to me that he wants this thread closed - I will do so. You want to have that right in regards to threads made about you.

BTW Lonamer, I have never been past SF in GS SIM, even thou I am ranked 2nd in ITST.

....so don't feel bad there, as I am worse.

In regards to Maximo, he played clean against me the last times we played.....and he lost. So it is not like he will automatically resorts to this type of play when losing. Something had to trigger it, maybe he did have a bad day at home/work etc....and he kinda let it out.

I mean, I will be the first one to accuse, but I will also be the first one to give a benefit of a doubt and second, third, fourth chance.
