coke4(Tompson) defeats hita(gray) 6-1 6-2

Cant remember much, i won like 9 games in a row fro, 1-1 to 4-0 in the 2nd set. I hit 38 winners to 8 U/E and won 73% of first serves. I had to save 5 break poins and took 4/7

coke4(Tompson) defeats patko7(Cannon) 3-6 6-3 6-4

1st Set He started off holding to 15 but basically blew me away with his serve. I then got 40-30 in my service game but he brought it back to duece, then got a break point which he took when a powerful return forced me to hit an error. I then managed to get 2 break points in his next service game, he saves the first with an ace down the middle, on the next one i decide to go for a forehand down the line, it was powerful just not quite deep enough and he smacks it away with his huge forehand. Rest of the set goes with serve, with me looking more helpless on return the latter in the set we went.

2nd Set: I remembered in the past against patko i had great success by playing defensively, so i took a few steps behind the baseline and started trying to grind him out from the back of the court, it works, at 1-2 i manage to carve a 15-40 lead, he saves the first but i manage to force him into hitting a bh wide on the 2nd to take the break. The rest of the set went very much to serve.

3rd Set0 I continue bossing him around and manage to sneak a break then hold for 2-0, i then carve out a 0-40 in his service game and break again then hold for 4-0. On my serve at 4-1 he manages to get 0-40 and he takes his first break point to get one break back. However i wasnt deterred and held on to take it 3-6 6-3 6-4

QF , Maximo (Bucci) def. Coke (Thompson) 6-1, 6-3.
I'm not good with summaries of matches, and I forget about all the details, but I'll try to summarize. In the first set broke coke´s serve in the second game of the match, which marked the rest of the set, I think he played off-center and I broke again with 4-1, I only had problems with my serve while serving for the set, I had to save a break point. The second was similar to the first, broke the serve to 1-1 and broke again for wining the match, and i think that there isn´t much more to say, it wasn´t a fantastic match with incredible points, but was a very clean match, and honestly, I did not see coke at 100% , maybe had some problem or something.

Just Lost my semi final vs alex13090 4-6 6-7

Like the last six times i was really close.Bt 6-0 in H2H.

Its incredible. But he is a great player.

I was hitting very well the ball during this match. One winner more and one unforced error less than my opponent.

2/5 on break point for him.1/8 for me.....

That's that.

The match was funny like always, lot of winners, variety, volley, shots without pace, long rallys.

He saved three sets points on his serve at 4-5 in second set.

And then an amazing tie break, where at 5-5 all, i was dominating the point and he hit an amazing dropshots for break my domination (not a cheesy drop, a brain dropshot).

I ran after and can put the ball in play, and with an amazing passing shot backhand won the point. And Win the match just after.

Very frustrating, but i think both enjoy the match.

See U.

By the way, is the second time consecutive that djarvik retires, some important injury?

Well, the match was on its 3rd day over the deadline. On a Friday when I am usually extremely busy. I allocated about 1 hour and 15 minutes for a match. Which should be more then enough. But since the first point it was plagued by disconnects. After many disconnections, 1 complete set and over 1 hour of playing time, I proposed a coin-toss to my opponent, as it was getting unreasonably laggy and disconnected every 2 games. He decline as he was a set up. I also noticed after the last disconnect that opponent uses Cannon with a wrong weight, I really didn't care for it. About 11 pounds lighter then he was supposed to be. He said to give him 10 minutes to quickly do a proper player....but unfortunately, time had ran out. I had to leave.

My opponent new the rules, and stuck with them to get the match, asking me numerous times (after each disconnect) "if I am retiring".

So in summery, a laggy match with lots of disconnects and game style that I don't like (short slices after serve, short slices mid rally and constant double trigger returning from 10 feet behind the baseline) It seems like my opponent wanted to win at all cost.

True story, no disrespect to my opponent, he did what he had to do.
Level 13 Edberg and counting...
