PS3 tour!

Postby emate007 » Wed, 07 Jul 2010 14:59

Sucks! The PS3 is shit!
The interface, that is. Compared to XBox Live, PSN is an inbred stepchild.
The WorldTour is horribly broken, if I choose quick match I instantly get an error! LAME! I want to beat up on 100/30 losers!
I´m very angry, I would have bought another XBOX if I´d known how **** UP the TS3 WT was on PSN.

WTF is sony doing, this is the worst internet experience I´ve had since I tried to dowload a porn pic in 1994!!!!!

That said, I have a PS3 and realize that ITST is my only option for playing TS3.
I just received 2 beatdowns from coke4, and the connection was smooth and silky once we made contact. (GAAAH, it shouldn´t be so hard!!!)

I can´t serve with the PS3 controller yet, but when I calm down I hope to play you PS3 guys.

My PSN ID is MooseParty.

well, you know my name :P add me on.

I would LOVE your review of the whole TS3 game and how it differs from XBOX. As well as the tour itself, meaning level of play or any other differences.

Add as many ITST guys as you can, someone is ALWAYS on for a match, every time I log in I get 2-3 invites for SIM  Sorry I don't respond sometimes guys, I use PS3 as a DVD and Bluray player....so I may not see your messages till later.

Should be back to "normal" end of the summer.

I miss X-Box everyday simply because the only game I play is Top Spin 3. The ps3 is very difficult to use as the online features are always dropping connection. Each time I play the PS3, I have to restart my PS3 at least 6 times because the online freezes entire machine when the connection drops. I had to basically stop playing ITST because it is very difficult to set up matches when there is so much lag and drop connections. Many times I try to set up matches and it won't even connect to the person I'm supposed to play. It doesn't show me my recently met players and you sending messages is much harder then you would expect. The few times I have a good connection it is good but it usually drops connection mid-match right when things are getting good. I think about buying an x-box everyday. You don't know what you have till it's gone. :( I still like to check the x-box scores every now and then here on ITST. On x-box there is more sense of community then on PS3 because it is so much easier to use. This is why PS3 sucks

I'm also curious about the differences between the xbox and ps3 tour, if their level is higher than ours or vice versa.

Either way, welcome to the ps3 tour :) . I won't comment on psn as I see you've already discovered just how wonderful it is.

I created a match just fine, the problem was that 5 different guys would join before you. I ended up just backing out of the setup screen and retrying instead of kicking, but this is a huge flaw in the game- not being able to select/invite who you play. WTF? You just both blindly wade into the internet and hope you get matched up with the right person? Ridiculous!
After having an XBOX the invite feature is second nature and works for ALL games, not just TS3.

I will add all you guys later today.

Tonedawg- the problem (so far) hasn't been connection- my internet connection is a hardline and nothing dropped. I was complaining about the radically different setup for organizing matches, the XBL service is years ahead of PSN. Would gladly pay for the same thing on PlayStation.

I've added some of you guys, but a couple lists were full (villaj100 and vieira151), and maximo is apparently not a psn id?

TS3 is a bit different for me on PS3, part of it is probably getting used to the controller. But some parts feel way easier like placement risk, and some parts feel harder like volleying. Which is a HUGE part of my game, and has caused a bit of frustration. I can understand why some of you opt for 80+ volley so you don't need to use the triggers.

Played a couple WT matches earlier, does everybody use the same 100/30 setup? Even with my serve being shit, I could hold 90% of the time against both guys, but they were spamming the slicy returns with 100 pwr/return from inside the baseline which was more like playing tictactoe than tennis...

Will post more impressions in this thread later.
