i m ready to start a new Setup-Era Important for all Members

Postby RAE1980 » Mon, 28 Jun 2010 23:52

Today i've tought made.....I must make a Decision...

1. I go of ITST---> NO i give never up!!!
2. I play RT-Alltime ---> NO i play max 2-3% RT or not !!!
3. I want at any price win ---> NO i play not only to win!!!
4. What do you want RAE???

A nice Gameplay, Rallies, Tactics, Volleys, the maximum of real Tennis
in ITST Matches.....I WANT TO LOSE!!!

Ok RAE you are a litte stupid?

Certainly NOT!!! Ok RAE what is the plan???

I need a new setup a realistic setup....i need a man (90-40) or women (WS) with ERRORS

I NEED A NEW RULE FOR ME!!! ---80-50 SETUP---

Important for me, that is no Attack to the hosts!!!
The people makes a very good job ;-)

80-50 SETUP FOR 90-40 and WTA

But no 8*70 or 6*80 + 2*30...no is not real, no an example:

You has 100-150 Points for Forehand and Backhand

Forehand: 76
Backhand: 57

You has 100-150 Points for Serve and Return

Serve: 73
Return: 55

You has 100-150 Points for Volley and Power

Volleys: 59
Power: 70

You has 100-150 Points for Speed and Endurance

Speed: 79
Endurance: 71

Setup is 540 Points and a new Real Gamesetup

In Future i loose my ranking positions, no problem for me!!! Is not all for me!

With the new Gamesetup i am happy to say, i make a REVOLUTION with this style i loose sure all games in 90/40 or WTA but i am the only man who can say:

I AM A ABSOLUTLEY FREE FAIR PLAYER IN ITST AND FOR ME IT IS NO PROBLEM TO LOOSE A MATCH, AND WHEN A PLAYER LOOSE VS ME, THAN IS THAT NICE FOR ME NOT MORE....AND I HAVE A OWN STYLE....YES!!!

OK RAE WHAT HOPE YOU???

I HOPE my future opponent s see my Courage, and he say, Yes i am a free man too and i play in future fair with the new setup....!!! I can more as only to play RT or same Forehand, Backhand, Wonderland :D

I AM DOING RAE!!!

My words to the members of ITST:

I would rather lose with nice gameplay and fun...than to win in 10 minutes with boring gamestyle!!!

I start the new setup after my 3 Tournaments with complete new players, i think real player for more fun....

Good night guys, we see us on the court ;-)

I think 80 50 would be fine but i cant see it being that radically different from the normal MS tour , but i think thats why we have Sim ,

Actually, I had a re-think.

I am going to create Pete SIMpras:

FH 56
BH 80
SV 77
Re 65
Vo 72
Po 74
Sp 66
St 70

BTW - Rob had player name a while back ;) (Pete Simpars)

BTW #2 - sorry to rain on the parade, but this will not work. Why?

This:

80 FH
80 BH
80 SV
50 Re
50 Vol
80 Po
80 Sp
60 St

Any rules limitations will be exploited. (hence the current ITST SIM format)

If you want SIM in 40-90, then do what I tried a while back:

- Model after a Pro and post on "ITST Characters Forum" for review by fellow SIM players. If reviews are more or less positive - keep the player and use him. If not, adjust according to suggestions. Try to replicate the playing style of modeled pro as well. This way, you get to use the whole range of 40-90 stats and at the same time have a realistic Pro. (of course you will have to give up Aggasi, Sampras, Edberg etc...as these are likely 70+ overall pros. You would need to stick to the ones who can more or less fit into 70 rating)

This way you truly will achieve SIM - As in you will simulate ATP and its players by stats, looks and playing style.

Anyway!...It obviously relies on the good will of each of us...
So i'll try to do a Djoko (since i noticed this is how i like to play : trying to end with a down the line Bh...)

Is that ok with the RAE rules? (it's a 540 set up) :P

Well, it is still stacked and game playe will be basically very similar to 4x90 player....since you will be playing against 50-80 players as well.

What I am trying to say, that stat limitation is just not the way to go.

Matheja said it, it is all about a good will of each player involved. Therefore, limitations are useless.

If you have to limit stats, then you basically failed.

I am saying that the best thing is trust each other and respect each others opinion, what better way to do it if not by creating a SIM Pro player and putting it out there for others to review?

You basically doing this now, by announcing the player stats.

So why limit them to 50-80?

Did Rob really create Pete SIMpras - what a coincedence!! Well I am taking the credit for it being exclusively for me

I dig where you are coming from DJ, although my understanding guys is that this is only for exhibitions trial, not with a view for the possibility of making it to ITST tour?!

Anyways, I think only a select few will create and sign up to play each other in the odd fun match.

I only have 2 players in my created list at the mo, 1 SIM & 1 temporary 90/40 SIM like player just for Wimbledon MS, so there is plenty of room for an exhibtion only player.

To be honest it ain't much different to SIM, and I absolutely love the restrictions in SIM, always will - nothing will ever supercede that. However by limiting to 80 you are in effect taking away a major weapon that can do real damage (e.g 90 serve or return etc).

Perhaps this is making Rae's idea too complicated but you could keep the 80-50 concept but add only a few restrictions (only a few - similar perhaps in some ways to the old ITST system that ended early this year)

1. At least 10 point difference between FH & BH
2. Either Volley or Stamina must be > 70
3. 1 Stat must be between 50-59
4. Power Max 75

Example:

FH 67 = 10 point < BH
BH 77 = 10 point > FH
SV 72
Re 65
Vo 63
Po 71 = <75
Sp 58 = 1 stat 50-59
St 79 = Stamina chosen as > 70

Now possibly people could say "well thats flawed because players would just go for....(the below)......"

FH 70
BH 80
SV 75
Re 60
Vo 50
Po 75
Sp 80
St 70

However the above might strike a nice balance between SIM and 90/40. It takes away from 'major weapons' like in 90/40 or the 85-90 weapons in SIM whilst striking a balance between "restrictions" and "choice" to do what they want in placing the XP's.

Sorry I am jumping on Rae's bandwaggon here, its his little baby!

Amy thoughts?

Hey guys thx...

These are good suggestions... ;-)

I hope we can play next week Exhibition Matches

We give ITST perhaps a new note in 90-40???
We will see 8)

For me it's a big difference to Sim, cause

1. You has your own player with Weight, Height and Real Name
2. You can take your own Setup
3. You have Points to distribute

Forehand 75
Backhand 75

Is not Real and Bad...

The Topspin Developers show us how to do it!!!

All Real Players has not the same Forehand and Backhand Setup....

Yes Amazing Matheja your setup is great, and Bagdad your setup is
also brilliant :D Hey Puttuu cool Thumbs Up ;-)

I can only say from experience, that it's a "two edged sword". If you limit stats, you get balanced setups, but you lose variation. The more you limit, the more one dimensional player setups become. If you don't limit, you get stacked players. We have tried pretty much every combination of rules and restrictions, trust me, we have tried a LOT of different stuff that didn't even see the light of day on tour, because it was quickly found to be flawed.

A lot has to do with the game itself, the way it "plays" and the way it "treats" certain stats. Among other factors.

Bottom line is, you are free to experiment with anything you'd like for 40-90 and exhibitions. I just want to sort of forewarn you guys, that if you create some sort of "club rules" and have some people follow it, while some don't, it will only lead to more frustration during and after your matches. I just know it from personal experience, I did try to play SIM in 40-90 tour, and I got more frustrated than following the stacked crowd, followed by me stopping playing 40-90 altogether. I also tried to play, "replicate" the SIM play by using mostly LT risk, rarely RT, using slow slices, deep slow balls, trying to come to net, serving the actual second serves...etc... When it works - great feeling!....when it doesn't, you can't help but resort to thinking that it's because the other player had 4x90 and was basically interested in one thing only, Risking you off the court with the first shot, always, and serving wide to get 1-2 punches. Still very frustrating. So save your nerves :) treat the 2 tours differently, as they are.

SIM is the way to go. We found a "near perfect" way around the problem we had of "rules and limitations" that we have been trying to solve for over a year. SIM was always "in works". And it is still "in works", but you didn't hear that from me. ;)

If you looking for SIM experience in 40-90, you basically looking for something that is simply isn't there.
