How do you enter a walkover score?

Postby Andymachine » Mon, 07 Jun 2010 23:29

I gave Pr1-yesh a 60 60 walkover in our Aegon match as we couldnt connect to play our match and im wondering how do we type in a walkover result instead of having to put 60 60 ?

Andy, you can't actually submit a WO score. What you have to do is notify the host of the tournament that you wish to give your opponent a WO.

BTW - you should not be pressured into giving a WO because of a connection issues. Sometimes an opponent can make it seem like it is your fault, when in reality it is no ones fault.

If you attempted to connect to your opponent a few times (differtent times, or days) with no luck, you and your opponent may ask for a cointoss to be performed by a host.

I will correct the score for a WO this time.

Lol well usually id do that , but in this case we couldnt even connect to start a set after like 20 times at least on either side hosting and him, i wouldnt do this in a major or MS tourney but i just got fed up of trying lol, but i thought there was a way we could enter a walkover on the score thing

As I said, it was nice of you to hand your opponent a WO. Just for a future reference, we have a system for these particular cases (where you fail to connect with your opponent).

I usually have a littler lag when playing with mates from europe.. but these last couple of weeks the conection improve a lot... but this week is really horrible.. so i hope it get better until friday.. if not i was gonna give zintonio a walkover, now knowing this rule djarvik says i'll contact the host if we cannot play..

Well Roman i was just very frustrated as im sure my opponent was , but id never experienced a situation like that in the fact that we couldnt even connect but it was on both sides but i sorta had that feeling that it wouldnt be resolved overnite , and i was right as the same thing happened on the following day , he even tried to use the Andy Roddick char to play me but still wouldnt work :(

But yes i hope it improves soon !!
