Best top 5 servers on Ps3 (sim)

Postby tonedawg1 » Fri, 04 Jun 2010 00:52

1. maximo servers on the line almost every time but he's even more dangerous because he's a lefty and the wide serve is so hard to return.

2. djarvik he serves smart and So effectively and its almost like mind games  lol.

3. marlonbrando- idk i suck at returning against lefties :( but hes like maximo lined up aces never felt so helpless

4. lonamer- he's like djarvik 'selective serving and he's so good at it Too.

5. Alex13090- his serve is like the best and its with a low stat but its so hard to return even if u know where its going to go.
anyways thats my top five servers on PS3 what's yours?

best server:Alex.he can hold easily serve without help of slice wide serve...
there are players i never met in sim and there are others players who don't use slice wide serve,as Brgeflipr,Coke,Jose... but they stay one step behind him(as server)

hit a slice wide service on the line and with short angle is not as easy as players think, only player i have seen hit that shot is tomo, and all the players with decent service that i have played use slice wide service too.

Precise service: patko, tonedawg and marlon.
Difficult to read: alex and djarvik.

Hitting a wide slice serve on the line and with short angle on sim is diffucult. But at regular it's more easy, but it spend a lot of taining. So I use it too! :P.

Any1 watching Soderling - Bedrdych?

Wide slice serve from a default serving position is not hard to hit at all. You just need to realize that timing for releasing the button on Slice, Kick and Flat is a bit different. Just a little. .....and you need to aim wide and down a bit to get a better angle.

I started a while back to come all the way to the middle of the court. This way, the wide serve is less effective and I get more rallies with my opponent. It is still effective....but now, I have to mix more and make him think I go down the T and make him commit there, then I get a wide ace.

The reason why wide serve from a default position is so effective, is because of the "return behind the baseline" rule. You have no idea how much easier it is to return that extreme wide serve if you stand on the line. Which makes sense in real life tennis.

Anyway, I am afraid we just need to live with that.....all I ask is a few ball bounces before the serve....give a returner a chance to get into desired position and collect himself.
Level 13 Edberg and counting...

may be is easy for u, but there aren´t many players that can hit that service perfectly.
And i will never give a step towards the center of the court because when I do this I feel as if the player is floating and am not not comfortable at all, (in spite of the fact that the services to the T in this position are a little more effective ), so I will continue serving as I do it until there is a rule that forbides it.

The only difference between TOMO's serve and a normal players serve was the lag. The slice outwide is an easy shot.

Are u sure? is true that lag was terrible with tomo, but is true too that his service was the best, of course lag + precise slice wide service= ace, but i haven´t seen a player serve like him.

marlonbrando - can serve out wide and down the line. Extra effective as a lefty. He gets you to cover wide, then puts them down the middle.

matt4unv - can serve short out wide all day long, aces. Occasionally catches you off guard down the middle.

tonedawg - can serve short out wide all day long, aces. Same as matt3unv, catches you down the middle from time to time.

coke - if he wanted, can serve short out wide all day long. Serve skills is definately up with the top players. Chooses not to wide serve all the time.

alex - if he wanted, can serve short out wide all day long. Can serve extremely well with low stats.

to be honest ive NEVER had lag with TOMO I SWEAR and yes he aims down just long enough to not hit the net and is on the line everytime like the AI on SUPER DUPER HARD
