How to hit inside out forehands? HELP NEEDED!!!

Postby Sure Shank2 » Mon, 31 May 2010 23:59

I need some help here guys. I just recently created my Jimmy Arias character. His stats are:

FH: 90
PWR: 90
BH: 60
SRV: 50
VLLY: 40
Return: 50
SPD: 85
STM: 85

Yet, for all my speed, stamina, and forehan, im still having trouble consistently and effectively hitting inside out forehands. Is an effective inside out forehand simply impossible on this game? Or am i doing something else wrong? Much help needed here guys. Thanks in advance for the responses.

...Jimmy Arias???

really now?? :? Why???

Anyways to answer your question, inside-out forehands are difficult in this game even for really experienced players...the reason being that you have to run around your backhand, THEN start charging your shot, leaving you with little time to really load up on the forehand...in games like with a control system like TS2 or VT3 (i.e not press-release like TS3), you can charge up while you're running around your BH

It almost impossible to do it effectively as Jay says. It only happens when you charged your next shot from an akward position which allows you to hit a forehand in the back hand position.
Don't even try to di it if you ask me. You won't get any advantage. Especially if you play with 90 fh 90 bh.

and I mean 8) 8) 8)

I can hit Inside out FH just fine...in SIM. 40-90 - forget it, its just not worth it. Possible but not worth it.

Like Jay said, what you need to do is tricky...but possible. Do not charge your shot, instead.....press nothing and stand mid court. Once you see a shot coming that is relatively slow, press and hold both triggers.....then start moving left of the ball......right after the bounce and when you are over to the left side of the ball - tap the shot button. Here you go.

It will only work for people who do not pre-press.....as you need to see the shot that is coming to make that decision, as you know, you cant just over run on every shot....it has to be a shot that allows you to do that.

....also, you can do it with LT only, or RT only...or no triggers....but, as in real tennis, once you put yourself in such position - you need to try and hit a winner, otherwise you leave too much of the court open.

Here is Rob doing a FH down the line - while running over BH. Apply same principle and go inside out (he just chooses to do down the line)
