For me a new comer is someone who has started in the last 3 months, or maybe since the start of the 2010 season.
I can't comment on Metal or Briskstian as never played them before.
Specialist has been around since late last summer & has got a wealth of challenger titles - he is one of my hitting partners and a class player no doubt - but not a newcomer
Murda has been around longer than me so again is not a newcomer - the risk king
Niten (formerly drago) like he said is a seasoned player - improved over the last few months for sure and capable of causing upsets
Paitigalas - played him once, spanked him once - although I have seen his results have improved - not the best newcomer
So that leaves Puttuu & Illuv:
Puttuu - not a newcomer as such.
Illuv - a newcomer.
However, the above two, in my opinion, have achieved "best..." in their own rights.
Baghdad Kebab's ITST awards are as follows:
Best Newcomer of the year - Illuvbilval: Has all the game, winning titles, causing upsets to the very cream of the crop, shooting up the rankings and when I return to SIM will be one of my toughest opponents.
Best Improved player of the year - (without a doubt) Puttuu: Been my hitting partner for a long time and so I have literally seen this boy go from very good to top dog level almost overnight - starting to now make the big upsets happen on a regular basis and is now confirmed in my opinion as one of a handful of players to be beat - like Noberto, Illuv, Murda etc.
No seperation between Illuv or Puttu in skill level from my experience / results against them although they may be humble and say the other is the better player - I will let you chaps sort it out

They call me Baggy...
