BOUNCE THE BALL BEFORE SERVING!!!!!!!!!!

Postby brgerflipr » Sun, 09 May 2010 23:37

It's just plain courtesy and respect. Sick of playing matches w/ opponents pressing X 100 times after every point and the ball is already being tossed before my guy can even move. Irritating.

i know thats a old problem here-
we ("I") had tryed to bring a rule about this + linedancing in past for a few times .
but nothing happens about this problem from management side.
-it nerves me too-esspecially by the roddick serve animation .

its a thing of respect to bounce the ball minimum 1 times by serving - but sadly its not forbidden at all -so some player doing this forward here

Agreed Burgr I totally hate it when the screen is shot thru so quick and suddenly its a quick serve , I have found in last few months that it has helped to take time after each point instead of rushing it

Yeah, unfortunately there is no "let" rule like there is in real life tennis for if the receiver was not ready. I'm sure many of us have had opponents in real life who want to serve while we're still walking back from picking up a ball. When that happens to me in the past I've just let it go. I've committed to next time that happens letting the ball fly past and saying "let"! I will do that everytime until my opponent gets the picture.

But you can't do that in a game...I would actually agree that this warrants a rule since it can be stopped in real life. Since I'm not an admin I can't do anything about it though :(

i played once a guy in tnt that served asap, i didn't realice the LET call so i let it happen that time. it is really annoying that you dont have any time to settle on your position and prepare for the next point. i usually bounce from 2 to 4 times the ball before serve.

The rule for this in real life is that the returner must play to the reasonable pace of the server, and the server must make sure the returner is ready before serving. This typically means your feet are set and you have made eye contact of some sort with the server. However, if you make any attempt to return the serve you are not allowed to claim you were not ready.

I totally agree with this , buts impossible to enforce, i dont care whether im losing or winnig , i always give my opponent time to return i hate these people that just rush press x and serve its just bad patter tbh
