Little game of the week (per ILuvBillVal's request) (SIM)

:P

ILuvBillVal - its for you buddy! ;)

Here is new little game to keep us entertained this week.

Before the SIM tour, it was very hard to "name the player" for a best shot, as having both 90 FH and BH kinda means that everyone hits the same....it is just a matter of who times the shots better. But now, with SIM and different Styles...this should work.

So...

Put a name of the player to each stat!

Forehand:
ILuvBillVal's Thompson. Deep down the line and deep flat cross. He gets to the spot very early and puts a lot work on the ball.

Backhand:
Baghdad's Cannon. One handed BH short cross. Opens the court beautifully for his strong forehand to finish.

Serve:
Norberto's Bashmakov. Best slice out-wide serve on ITST.

Return:
Pica's Bucci. Undoubtedly the best returner that ever played TS3. Lots of variety, depth and power.

Volley:
ZIZOU's Lopez. Best vollier on SIM tour right now. Can get it done from the baseline and transition volley.

Power:
EPOX's Bashmakov. Everything from serve to ground strokes to returns, everything is being hit with power and precision.

Speed:
Puttu's Bashmakov. Maybe its just me, but I find Puttu to be the best mover and considering Bashmakov's speed, he is a great defender (and attacker)

Stamina:
Pica's Bucci. He wears you down with precise shots, sharp slices and consistent returns.
Level 13 Edberg and counting...

YES!!!!!

I'm honestly inclined to write djarvik for every answer just because you did this, yet I shall refrain.

I'm still fairly new to the SIM tour, but I am going to answer this to the best of my ability. The only issue for me is trying to remember players everyone uses, especially people I've played only once.

Forehand and Backhand:
This is a really hard one for me to hand out. There are three guys that have ALL the shots and I could rally with alllll day long and they are djarvik (you're the man), anteros and joesixtoe. I'm actually going to give the forehand award to anteros though, the guy is just sick and unrelenting in rallies. I believe he used Bishop last we played, but I'm not 100% on that. Backhand I'm giving to you djarvik and your scary Nakamura! Your top spin heavy style really helped shape and influence my game a lot and made me a much better player, and that's the shot that really stands out in my mind from you: a deep LT top spin.

Serve:
I'm going to second you on this for my friend NH. Norberto is a ridiculous server and will always dominate with it. I give honorable mention though to EPOX I only played the guy on WT once but his serve was pretty nasty. Both Bashmakovs, both perfectly utilized.

Return:
Again I am going back to djarvik on this one with his Nakamura. I can do some pretty scary stuff with a 63 serve Thompson, but djarvik gives me nightmares with his brilliant rebuttals. Honorable mention to Puttu playing Bashmakov against me in our recent final returned my serve quite well, broke me once in the second set even!

Volley:
I'll agree with you on Zizou. I played Zizou recently and he really played an amazing match. He's so tough to crack at the net.

Power:
I'm going to go with Norberto again on this one, mainly only because I haven't played EPOX enough to really measure. Norberto is a machine though, and even without the 90 power and wings manages to hit the ball as hard as anyone.

Speed and Stamina:
I'm giving these both to joesixtoe, hands down no matter who he uses. A rally with me and Joe is like World War III it's just ridiculous. I almost wished they programmed players vomitting and passing out into the game because Joe would definitely have my guy carted off the field in a stretcher after our matches!!

Thanks djarvik! Keep the fun stuff coming my man! :-)

I'm the best in every single category... I just thought I leave you guys a tour that is not completely dominated by Norberto H, so I geared down a bit... 8)

I don't NEED to play a volley to crush my opponents - if I played a volley it would be the best volley possible though...

I actually got the idea for these threads from Norberto:

So all the credit to him for the "idea"

Haven't played against Nobertos Bashakov, but Epox used the same player. His left-handed sliced serve was a nightmare to return! :x

Surprised that I managed to brake him once though, the problem was that he broke mine 5 times. I blame Nakamura, his (my) serve blows.

Norberto’s tears can cure cancer; too bad he has never cried.

Norberto does not hunt because the word hunting implies the probability of failure. Norberto goes killing.

The original name of the movie was Alien vs Predator vs Norberto, but the producers realized that nobody would ever watch a movie that only lasted fourteen seconds.

When Norberto falls out of a boat he doesn't get wet, the water gets Norbertoed.

Norberto once broke the land speed record on a bicycle that was missing its chain and the back tire.

:)

OK Cro, I'll see yours and raise you:

Death once had a near-Norberto experience.

Norberto secretly sleeps with every woman in the world once a month. They bleed for a week as a result.

Norberto doesn't have hair on his testicles, because hair does not grow on steel.

Norberto doesn't pop his collar, his shirts just get erections when they touch his body.

The only time Norberto was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistake.

Once, while having sex in a tractor-trailer, part of Norbertos' sperm escaped and got into the engine. We now know this truck as Optimus Prime.

Norberto can eat a Rubik's Cube and poop it out solved.

Norberto's dog picks up it's own crap because Norberto doesn't take crap from anybody.

Somehow I had a feeling this would happen when I said that. :-)

There is no such thing as a lesbian, just a woman who never met Norberto.

Jesus can walk on water, but Norberto can swim on land.

Norberto died 20 years ago, death just never had the guts to tell him.

Norberto can beat Halo 3 on Legendary...with a guitar hero controller!

Norberto doesn't mow his lawn, he stands outside and dares it to grow.

Norberto counted to infinity, twice.
