3 players that you have a losing record against in SIM

Postby djarvik » Wed, 14 Apr 2010 20:55

Forums been quite for a few days :P so lets liven em up a little.

Name 3 players you have a worst head-to-head record against in SIM and explain why.

Mine are:

Kyuuji 0-3 - I dropped a final in 2 straight sets to him. The other two wins were via coin-tosses. Our matches are always lag plagued and kyuuji is an excellent player. The one time we played he more then held his own in rallies with crafty slices and all court game.
Strengths: great all court play, good risker.

TOMO 0-2 - granted, he is no longer on the tour, but he still remains one of the only players I could never get close to. I could never cope with his serve and therefore even if the score seems close, I never felt in reach of the win.
Strengths: Serve, "the wall" from baseline.

Maximo tied with Marlon and Tonedawg 0-1 - Maximo caught me by surprise with excellent defense and counter punching. He servers and returns well and refuses to give up points. Very tough opponent for me. Marlon has a lot of variety to his game, nasty wide serve and a high risk game. When all three elements click, he is tough for me to win. Tonedawg has a solid baseline game second to only TOMO, has a great serve and ability to risk. He is too solid for me to win, I keep throwing different things at him and he always comes up with the stuff.
Strengths (Maximo): Return, defense, down the line lefty FH.
Strengths (Marlon): Wide serve, drop shots, risk shots.
Strengths (Tonedawg): Defense, serve.

So who is your toughest head-to-head opponent and why?

We can't really count theses matches, I don't really say I'm leading 3-0, we can't play correctly a match and I can't understand why..
I remember when you destroyed me in 2 sets (easily), this match was perfect (well I mean the lag xD) it was the only match I thinl :s
But well this game is not interesting for me now :s I wish to come back in my form.

In Sim, I have a losing record against Djarvik & Maximo. 0 - 2 against both.

But in 90/40........like Maverick said to Slider in Top Gun, "the list is long and distinguished".

Djarvik, Nito, Parsons, TOMO, Pocho, Coke - I have NEVER beaten, and I've played each guy at least 3 times.

What a stupid thread, I want to kill myself now. Damn it.

Well, my hth with alex is fantastic, 0-6 for him, ( and i have lost 13 matches in sim), the first matches we played i was learning how to play in ITST and how to play in sim, and i have not chance against him, it was impossible for me break his service and his risk shots killed me, my returns was horrible and i moved very bad and served well but was not enough, i have improved a lot thanks to him, but after the reason is easy, he is a big player , i have had my chances in our matches but he always saves the difficult situations, i think i have only beat him in a couple of friendlies, he is the best player i have seen in SIM, i hope we will play only friendlies in the future, 0-6 is enough for me

Djarvik, never even took a SET off him, and only broke his serve twice i think. Nito i've only played once in a epic Fed vs fed exhibition i won in a final set tiebreak. Never played TOMO, Pocho i am losing 1-3 to him, although i did win in a fun striker vs striker match.

And coke, coke i used to comfortably beat, then beat, then beat but was made to work for it, then just about beat in a 3 set marathon, then only just lose, then just lose lol. i'm currently hovering around the level between 'losing' and 'losing but making coke work for it', i'd guesstimate out head to head to be 5-11/12 to him.

And brger, you know im winning our serve-volley head to head 8) 8) 8) :D

Indeed, but first matc we played i remember really well, you won 6-1 6-7 6-3. 1st Set could have and should have been a bagle, lucky to get a game. 2nd Set I was just holding on and at 5-5 i manage to break and then bang, Ding Dong! Fing doorbell, i had to go tell people to f off then returned and he had b/p, he took it but i took breaker. Third was better but he won it convincingly. After that it went downhill a bit lol.

In sim i have losing H2H against LOTS of players lol, djarvik, tonedawg, ochtlino alex and Josenylund. In MS i having losing records against very few players :P

TOMO 1-2
I lost to him twice its always fun playing him seeing as we both have good defense and baseline skills so he risks a lot b4 he can take me down , I knew i was going to have my chance of winning because the second time I lost to him i could have won, due to him missing a lot of serves, by far the best player before he lost rhythm in his serve. i remember playing him on wt and he played behind the baseline and won 94 % of return games ! and i could see why hardly missing gets to everything in fact his play was soo good it covered up his bad serving lol, he served slow and not on the lines but his baseline play made up for it.
Maximo 0-1
Well I hate playing lefties because of their out wide serve it makes me wanna create a left handed version of my player so they wont have that advantage, when I serve out wide it doesn't seem to have the same affect lol. He risks too well and at the most annoying times such as transition, if you were going to change up the pace is when BOOM happened  Well his serve makes up for his baseline play because when i get him into a rally he'll have to rally so several risks shots to shut up the dawg :D
Lonamer 0-1
Same as maximo i hate playing lefties well just their out wide serve any ways. But lonamer plays much like TOMO u just cant get him down this guy you don't want rallies against I swear every cross court shot from him is a risk  he's one of the best but somethings missing from his game though that keeps him from destroying everybody
btw I think this is my longest post I have ever made :c :c :yikes

hahahah and hear i was thinking the same about your cross court hahaha. But i feel like i've yet to find my best game, so i agree there is something missing. But i'm working on it and hopefully i can pull it off.

PS my wide serve is nothing compared to that off marlonbrando!!!! but i'm working on that ass well lol
