Fat player advantage?

Postby ChunkDEUCE » Sat, 20 Mar 2010 06:29

I hear people complaining about so many different things to do with the way a player is built. But my only question is, is there any difference when playing with a fat player versus a normal player? Never have played as one myself, I prefer only replica players. The only advantages I've seen is using the Roddick motion, which is highly abused and overused in most players, and having someone who is over 6'.

Never created a Mr Tubby either, and I don't think there's an advantage when it comes to power etc.
A huge player looks scary though, so maybe that's why some people use them. :?

I already feel the difference between a 70 and 74 Kilos player. Trust me on this, there is a difference.

I don't believe that there's any real difference. I think it's all in your timing, and obviously if you can have perfect timing coupled with RT+LT you're going to get some serious pop. I think the only advantage comes in reach with height.

I read Norberto talk about this and he's sooooo right in that if you serve into the bodies of fatties they just lose all effectiveness. Tested this against the original "hole" last night!

He beat me, but only because it was WT with the stupid "super tie break" if you ask me. It was like 3-4, 3-0, 8-10.... I was definitely on to his gameplan by the second set obviously haha. All he was doing was trying to set up for either a short top spin, or a short slice.

Totally off topic, though but you are going to DIE laughing when you see my new 40/90 guy!

That's odd, someone just used something similar to that "padawan" phrase to me the other day...

Zizou i think fat character or not , Murda would have beaten you on more or less the same score . In fact Murda you should create the thinnest character possible and beat everyone . It would just end the whole debate .

I am not a bad sore looser so i don't wanna look like one.
This had nothing to do with him whipping my ass. I know he's very good and talented player ; better than me. No doubt and I'm not arguing.

What i hated is the fact he copied someone acts I really didn't like (I mean playing with an unreal fatass character and line dancing on every return).
But hey MURDA, you changed your mind and I am the happiest aorund here about it.
Take care young man.
